2nd scope is to tell them directly that, your ability to take full responsibility of the house is becoming unbearable in this hard economy that ur earnings can not support more than 2 mouths at the moment coupled with expensive baby food, that u are resorting to borrow.......If u can do this second trips... they will respect ur manliness or boldness and won't take u for granted cos they know u wont take rubbish.

3rd scope......If the above 2 don't work,,,,,,then reduce the quality of food they cook and eat drastically...This scope is a silent scope....u dont need to explain to ur wife, just cook a fake story of how u no longer have enough cash...maybe work related or project related...make ur wife believe the fake story....

E.g if they use fish for stew, cut it to only egg.....reduce soup to once a week or once in two weeks....let them eat more of beans( give them garri with the beans instead of dodo+bread) cook vegetables soup without meat, instead use Shawa fish...lol....this may cause quarell with ur wife,,,don't shy away from the quarrel, infact welcome it and use the avenue to voice out on ur wife so that everyone will hear ur complain of lack of fund and have sense.....

Na wife you marry, no be all her family. They are supposed to bring, yet dem dey come collect. Better sit your wife down and have a heart to heart conversation with her.

If you're unable to save and something happens that'll require money and you don't have it, na dem go first ask wetin you dey do with your money.

Funny guy! But just to let you know that marrying a virgin doesn't garrantee faithfulness in marriage. Pray you don't learn it in a bitter way. For the sake of a pregnant future, don't discuss this with your wife. She will simply conclude that you chased her family away, and that will create a big gap between her and your family forever. You need to create another bank account if your wife has access to the current account/s. Then, just buy some little general stuff and more stuffs for the baby and your wife. When the food finishes, pretend as if things no too dey okay with you. Those people will voluntarily leave within 3 days after the artificial famine has set in in the house. When they are fully gone, you can start reastalking the house gradually. Don't tell anyone to leave your house, it may boomerang tomorrow.

What you are saying in essence is that instead of one person coming for Baby sitting, you have 3 persons, Mother, Sister and Brother in addition to your own wife and kid.

By the way, your mother in law is supposed to be there for a year, or atleast 6 months. The challenge is that the mother may be the bread winner, so as she moved, the bread eaters joined her, cos you are now winning the bread.

I know you have created the impression that you are a financial odogwu so it is hard to complain, so why not fake a work travel and assign specific amount to your wife and when they exhaust it, she'd complain to them in your absence and may be they will get the message? It is better than toasting your sister in law and causing them to scatter thinkin you are irresponsible, but it is still an option since you dont wanna tell them you are broke.

Be very careful how you handle in-laws. Na women own the home. If you chase her family your own no go even pass the gate. It will be HOT for them.

Only her mother has right to be there right now. Talk to her and tell her you can’t afford to feed the others as they come weekly. That you have tried but the mother will probably need to stay longer, have a defined time for how long her mother will stay and how long yours will too.

Trust that she will not want your mother there, in fact after 2 months she go don discharge your mother with style. Women are very good at this thing so just deal with her family very carefully.

This happens when you marry a housewife that doesn't care about how the economy is.

The best solution is to discuss with your wife about her mum leaving, foodstuffs are so expensive now coupled with 2 extra mouths.
Staying for 3 months is already enough abeg.

You can as well tell her your mum is coming over and wouldn't like two of them to be together.

Discuss with your wife calmly and if she is against your view, just take like 5 clothes, leave the house for her and the family for like 2 weeks but try and be sending little that can take care of the wife and the baby and other children if any. If she calls make sure you tell her that, there's need for you to leave the house because you don't have much again to feed the whole members of the family and that you don't want her family to see you as bad person. This is necessary because she might put the call on speaker for her family to listen or recording it. Dear brother it's better to shame them before they kill you financially. My advice for you

Welcome to the Club. This is the very first beginning of rough tides of marriage. After this ordeal you will make you mind if you married your wife or just a wife.
You have no business with your in-laws (except your mother in-law which you already indicated has stayed up to 3months and you don't mind her staying) so have a decent conversation about the whole set up with your wife. Be sure to give every detail. Then wait for her reaction. If she's your wife, she will be on your side. If she's just a wife you married then nobody will tell you.
In most cases, she's just a wife so brace up for the worse and go for a cold bottle of beer.
