So out of the so called 47,000 interpretations of "nothing" which you claim means the same thing as 47,000 denominations, you couldn't even find 10 of the most popular "interpretations" which could validate or give credence to your claims!😂 I'm done. Dealing with stupidity is bad for my health. You really earned that "junkie" in your name.
***shakes head vigorously in disgust**** 😣😣😣

Again, so, you don't see for yourself how the existence of over 47,0000 denominations invariably means there are at least 47,000 different interpretations of scripture, and you think blaming me for your inability to comprehend this simple thing is the best thing to do? You actually think your ignorance is to be blamed on my IQ? 🤔🤔🤔🤔

Make una come help me see the clear result of what is religious mindfuckery abeg! 😶😶😶🤐🤐🤐

LOL... The scam that is Christianity has over 47,000 different interpretations, all of them lies since absolutely none of them complies with all that is stated in Scripture as stated by the Truth of God Himself, Jesus Christ. Does this help your head now? grin
So u how do u know dat all is scam, have you visited dem 1 by 1

You don't need to do all that. You simply need to go to the teachings and commandments of Jesus Christ to find the Truth of God. 😁

Jesus Christ condemned religion beginning with the very religious leaders of His time as well as their every doctrine and tradition which He proclaimed were nothing but lies told to deceive and delude people away from the very mandate of God. Christianity is modeled after the same religion that Jesus Christ condemned. Jesus Christ made this very simple for anyone who truly believes in Him! grin

2. Me? I am not a Christian nor do I belong to any religion. I am rather a follower of Jesus Christ, a passport-holding citizen of His nation. grin

An issue of confusion perhaps contention is
Ishmael was Abraham’s son as the Bible clearly states that Ishmael was Abraham’s son, born from his relationship with Hagar (Genesis 16).

Abraham loved both sons but your referrence hete implies Ishmael wasn't loved and is not the first child born to Abraham.

The Bible doesn’t explicitly state that Abraham loved Isaac more than Ishmael. In fact, there are instances where Abraham shows concern and affection for Ishmael, like when he intercedes with God to save Ishmael’s life (Genesis 21:17).

It is important to note that polygamy was practiced during the old biblical times. Abraham, the patriarch of the Israelites, had three women in his life with whom he had children: Sarah, Hagar, and Keturah.

Clearly it is known that Hagar bore child before Sarah that didn't die.

Nope! Also, according to Jesus Christ, He was sent by His Father only to the Lost sheep of Israel, so technically, unless you are born of the blood of Jacob, all of this would be meaningless to you anyways. But religion would never tell you this since the scam is meant to entrap as many gullible as possible. grin

BewareOf419:
Is it satan that was spoken in Gen 22:1-19? I don't think you know what you're saying at all
Satan is behind the temptation!

God is speaking but who was accusing Abraham of selfish love for his friend?

In the Bible book of Job this is what Satan said:

[/b]Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, Doth Job fear God for nought?
Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land. But put forth thine hand now, and touch all that he hath, and he will curse thee to thy face. Job 1:9-11[/b]

But God has demanded Abraham's son before that's why He told Satan:

And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, all that he hath is in thy power; only upon himself put not forth thine hand. So Satan went forth from the presence of the LORD.Job 1:12

Here God indirectly told Satan "NO i won't test my servant with evil things but you can go ahead and do whatever you want with his belongings but make sure you don't touch him"

So the idea to tempt Abraham is not from the same Person whom the Bible said can't test people with evil things! James 1:13 smiley

I am telling you that all over 47,000 interpretations offered to you by the religion of Christianity do not offer you Jesus Christ at all. grin

2. Jesus Christ, not religion, can reveal that to you. He made it abundantly clear in His Gospel which is almost 2000 years strong at this point that His Father only sent Him to the Lost sheep of Israel and it is only those among them who obey His teachings and commandments that will find Him. If you want to know for yourself whether you are or not, you should go straight to Him for the answers you seek. grin

There is no me to follow since I don't have a religion to offer you nor do I have any desires to be a god to you or any man. 😁

All I have tried to pass across to you is that if Jesus Christ is indeed the one you seek, I simply explained that since He made clear that religion is against Him, it means none of the over 47,000 types of Christianity can give you Jesus Christ. If this is too hard for you to grasp, then abeg go forth intp religion! 😂

Are Catholics known globally for zealous preaching?

Well preaching is a difficult assignment because the preacher must have a theme to preach and be consistent about it with all types of industriousness making it his lifestyle not just doing it anyhow but sticking to the rules and admonition of the one and only leader who commissioned preaching and teaching from house to house and door to door: Christ Jesus!

He himself knew how difficult the assignment is for imperfect humans that's why he said in the Bible book of Matthew 28:18-20

"You will receive power when the holy spirit comes upon you, and you will be witnesses of me in Jerusalem, in all Ju·deʹa and Sa·marʹi·a, and to the most distant part of the earth.” Act 1:8

Note the highlighted in blue, Jesus promised his faithful friends that they will be energized when God's Active Force comes upon them and so it happened they couldn't do the work until God's Active Force was poured upon them. Act 2:1-4

So do you think such a thing could go round the earth catching people of all the nations and making them zealous just for RUBBISH?

Well i'm Maximus one of Jehovah's Witnesses!

My friend you weren't observant enough that's why you think there are many churches going about preaching.

First of all you need to know the instructions the founder of Christianity gave his disciples when he commissioned the work.

[1] They must go from house to house and door to door {Matthew 10:11-13} this will give everyone the chance to hear them so no matter how poor a person is or how remote his location Jesus' disciples must find him! 1Timothy 2:4

[2] They must go in pairs {Luke 10:1} this will make it really difficult for anyone to wrongly accuse them and they can remind each other if there's any question raised about their message! Ecclesiastes 4:9

[3] They must not disturb their neighborhood with noise claiming they're doing God's work: {Matthew 12:19} this will help in communities where only the King's messengers are known as town criers!

[4] They must not try to force their opinion on their audience {Matthew 10:16} this will help those seeing them to know they are not extremists! 1Peter 3:15

[5] They must view people of all tribes, nations, status, background, fields as neighbours {Mark 12:31} this will help them to remain neutral in the face of tribal conflicts as they are representatives of the Prince of Peace! Isaiah 9:6 compare to Act 1:8

All these hasn't included the theme of their message which is God's Kingdom! Matthew 10:7

Do you think all those claiming preachers are following these guidelines from the founder of PREACHING? Matthew 28:19-20

Okay I see

Please also note that the phrase 'whom you love' is like an adjectival clause attached to the son Isaac.
God saying Abraham loved Isaac doesn't imply that Abraham didn't love the other.

It's just like saying, “Bring that my white shirt that is ironed...”
It doesn't mean that the other shirts aren't ironed. It just indicates that the white shirt is indeed ironed.

So I think the main contention here will be the idea of God calling Isaac the 'only son'

Ohyoudidnt:

I'm not opposing your views or anything oo, but since you have shared it, let me also share a line of thought.

Let's introduce analogies and points if views.

1. Assuming I'm your father and I promise to give you a phone, but you end up waiting so long and eventually do a few semi-illegal stuff and get a phone (of course, the money isn't enough so you buy a quack phone but still 'love' it).
I later buy a good phone for you, a special one for that matter.
Now one day I call on you and say, “Ohyoudidnt bring me your phone, your only phone, which you love...” Which phone will you be bringing? The one you got out of compromise or the one I got for you?

Then also I'm a Christian (a Believer), so the first belief is that God is God.
He has to be right whenever He speaks, and it's my duty to understand why I felt He's wrong (after all the small simple human mind won't be able to completely understand the mind of a complex God).

Even though I've not really pushed anything on you, I think I've given you room to accommodate new lines of thoughts...

It's sad that you feel I am pushing anything on you by pointing out clear truths.

Abraham had Ishmael with Hagar, his wife Sarah’s handmaiden, when Sarah was unable to bear children. This does not imply he is still childless but he has no child from his 1st wife.

You tend to imply there is wrong doing in this being done. You have interpreted that Abraham had Ishmael in compromise however is this view stated by God or any in the Bible?

However Ishmael was conceived does not remove the fact that he is the first child and was only child before Isaac was born. Incidentally it seems more plausible he was to be sacrificed if indeed he was born in compromise so this can be corrected.

It is not worth discussing any further and your views are valid as yours and mine to me.

Best wishes.

Okay I think we failed to establish that God had promised to give Abraham and Sarah a child.
Hence Abraham marrying a maid just to get the same child that was promised is a compromise of faith (believe) in God.
We also know he was compelled to do it, if not, he probably wouldn't have bothered.

Hence the term: Compromise

It's the reason why I gave that analogy where a father promises a phone for the child, but the child goes ahead to get the phone using his own means

It is not worth discussing any further and your views are valid as yours and mine to me.

Best wishes.

Now you tend to slander Abraham as being impatient yet he was steadfast against Idolatry done by his father Terah and obedient when God asked him to leave his homeland and kinsmen to embark on a journey to a land that would be shown to him (Acts 7:3).

You now tend to say he was wrong in going into his maid as a concubine?

Hagar was Abraham’s concubine and the mother of his son Ishmael. She was purchased in Egypt and served as a maid to Abraham’s childless wife, Sarah. Sarah gave Hagar to Abraham to conceive an heir.

A concubine was a woman who lived with a man as his secondary wife, providing children to increase the workforce and satisfy the man’s sexual desires. Concubines held certain rights and protections under Hebrew law, but they were not equal in status to a wife.

In Exodus 21:7-11, if a man bought a Hebrew girl as a concubine, he must commit to providing for her for life or return her to her father without demanding payment.

In extreme poverty situations, women could avoid prostitution and homelessness by choosing to sell themselves as a concubine to one man (Exodus 21:7)

Remember that when Hagar became pregnant, she became arrogant and Sarah treated her harshly, causing her to flee into the wilderness. There, she was found by an angel of the Lord who told her to return home and promised her that she would have many descendants through her son, Ishmael.

Also recall that in Genesis 16:2
And Sarai said to Abram, "Behold now, the Lord has prevented me from bearing children. Go in to my servant; it may be that I shall obtain children by her." And Abram listened to the voice of Sarai.

Sarah chose to give her servant Hagar to Abraham, in accordance with the custom of the day, so that Sarah could have a child through her

Why then is there in the biblical scripture Genesis 16
7 The angel of the Lord found Hagar near a spring in the desert; it was the spring that is beside the road to Shur.

8 And he said, “Hagar, slave of Sarai, where have you come from, and where are you going?”

“I’m running away from my mistress Sarai,” she answered.

9 Then the angel of the Lord told her, “Go back to your mistress and submit to her.”

10 The angel added, “I will increase your descendants so much that they will be too numerous to count.”

About 14 years after the birth of Ishmael, Isaac was born.

Question is if the child of Hagar is not important why will an angel from God appear to get in regard of her pregnancy/child?

The first aspect of God’s promise to Abraham is fulfilled through Ishmael, Abraham’s son with Hagar, his Egyptian handmaiden. This promise is chronicled in the Book of Genesis (16:10, 17:20)

The second aspect of God’s promise to Abraham is the birth of a child through Sarah, Abraham’s wife. Despite her advanced age, God reaffirms the promise, stating that Sarah will bear a son, Isaac, who will become the progenitor of the Israelites (Genesis 17:15-21, 18:9-15, 21:1-3).

Don't bother with a published answer. Just reflect on this.

Ohyoudidnt:
This statement from your post does indicate you say I try to push my views on you?
Again, chai...
Read the statement in question again

Even though I've not really pushed anything on you, I think I've given you room to accommodate new lines of thoughts...
After pointing out a few things, I said this to mean that I haven't really forced any explanation to you (since you didn't ask and since there's no need).
It doesn't mean that you previously forced your own opinion on me.
In that initial response, I was just creating room to consider different points.

Now you tend to slander Abraham as being impatient yet he was steadfast against Idolatry done by his father Terah and obedient when God asked him to leave his homeland and kinsmen to embark on a journey to a land that would be shown to him (Acts 7:3).
Let me just clear the thing in bold.

I just said that Abraham was compelled (by Sarah) to get Ishmael, and that if he wasn't compelled, he wouldn't have bothered.

By this, don't you see I'm implying that Abraham was actually patient but Sarah wasn't.

Biko we're not quarreling at all. I'm not bent on proving you wrong or painting Abraham as bad in order to prove a point.

You now tend to say he was wrong in going into his maid as a concubine?
I'm saying it is wrong to not trust in God, that it is an act of compromise of faith.

Abraham compromised after being compelled by Sarah. Sarah would be wrong in this case but Abraham takes a hit for complying.

Just like Eve and Adam and the forbidden fruit.

Question in bold... I didn't say Hagar wasn't important 🤦‍♂️
Is it wise to assume that the main reason why Sarah, Hagar, Isaac and Ishmael were important with regards to children and multiple descendants is because they were connected to Abraham? (to whom the promise was given)

That's not even the case here.
The only case is that you misunderstand much of the points I make, so it seems like we're quarreling and I'm trying to prove you wrong.

All these were not even the point in the post I made earlier, but you brought it up.
And I'm here wondering why you brought it up.
Of course, you brought something for me to ponder on, I also give you something to ponder on but you misunderstand.
