So you guys is it normal to get an email from tls that my application has been transferred to the consulate the few hours after submitting? Shouldn't it take like a day or two?

Yes, it is normal. start counting 14 days thats when ur application would be ready

Submitted my documents and did biometrics at TLS since June 3 2024. Till now no response. Anyone else experiencing this?

It’s quite normal.
People get decisions in 3/5days.

It may be normal because i saw a notice on TLS website stating that application processing now takes longer than usual a averaging about 3 weeks. Its scary for someone like me that date of travel is around 12 july. I submitted just yesterday

This is the busiest season for France RN. Olympics starts in exactly 3weeks.

I was surprised too. She was about to withdraw her application when she got the visa.

Lets hope they improve. TLS website states they are doing everything possible to revert back to the previous rhythm and duration of visa application processing

In Nigeria, they can’t keep up with 5days until the end o of the Olympics.
1. Most Nigerians wants to use that opportunity to enter into Europe.
2. Most Nigerians believe France is the easiest Schengen consulate
3. Most Nigerians prefer the modus operandi of not having to face a visa officer not been called for unnecessary stories afterwards.
4. If the Ambassador wasn’t changed earlier in the year, it would have been pretty much easier. But the new one definitely has his own modus operandi etc
Until the Olympics is ended , it will keep on like that.
Of course they are cashing out too.

Your flight cancellation can’t affect a thing.
They knew it wasn’t wise to book before getting your visa , they just need to see your plans.

When did you submit?
I submitted at VI Lagos on thursday 20 th june

Your flight cancellation can’t affect a thing.
They knew it wasn’t wise to book before getting your visa , they just need to see your plans.

Thanks for your response. What about hotel reservations? I'm thinking if it eventually gets cancelled,I'll send them and email with a new itinerary and explanation.

I've been through the whole thread for like 5hrs. I noticed people who get notified that their passport is ready early get denied

Both actually.
If your application goes beyond date and they need to see a new reservation .
It will be requested.
Canceling not to lose money or otherwise won’t affect your application.

Yes i got notified that my application had been transferred to the consulate and the next day the status shows the application has been received by the consulate. Now status is "ongoing".
Yes some early passport returns are refusals but not all. If you are a frequent traveller with solid application consulate decision may be rapid and favorable.

Status "in process" i meant

It’s normal to get the notification few hours after submitting biometrics. It’s a standard practice. I got it for ours and all visas were approved so be calm.

People get approval in one day… in this high season.
As in , passport returned to them in one working day.
Approval has nothing to do with how fast or late they update or return passport.
Just pray for favour and approval.

Just worried because the travel date I put was very close. Only to see after submitting my application that it takes 3 weeks for processing now. Village people 😔

I’m experiencing the same thing as well. Submitted since 20th of May and no response yet

My cousin just told he’s yet to get a response. He submitted on 7th June in Abuja. His flight is for tomorrow 25th.
He’s trying to change the ticket but said the amount is almost half the ticket price.

What happens if a decision is yet to be reached on your application but waiting period has exceeded your travel date and for that reason had to cancel some or all of your reservations to avoid losing money?
