Ok o... But he should prepare for the heavy backlash if he gives us crap... Also, I think the cameo characters are way too much for this movie... Is like we are getting a 0.5 The Justice Society of America movie here rather than an actual Superman movie..

Wow...never thought a superhero will be wearing pants outside their trousers in 2024 again. I think the budget has to be 25million dollars on production and 50 million overall cause the suit looks cheap and everything looks uninspiring. Speaking of the Arrowverse, Brandon Routh suit in the Crisis cross over, Tyler Hoechlin's suit in the Superman and Lois series is way cooler. Let's not downgrade the arrowverse. They actually had dope suits. This one ain't dope. And, how come no one is mentioning Black Noir in the Superman film, disguised as Ultraman.
That's not Ultraman. That's Black Noir. Ultraman's suit is a mirror of Superman.

good content with heavily flaw suit that the so-called creator of good content is rethinking of doing away with the diaper cosplay at the end of the movie because of heavy backlash... I thought you guys always claim he's the one with the so much depth with comics source...yet common suit he can't get right or come up with something decent....and from all the shooting so far, it looks like he's giving his fans GotG 3.5

Is very unfortunate how Gunn's minions keep saying he's developed great stories when he was literally carried by the MCU (already established universe) and the Russo brothers throughout their time there... Aside the GotG 1 ( which still leveraged on the goodwill the MCU had ), his other movies were just average at best... Show us his movies outside MCU and let's see how greats they are regarding to how his minions make him appear like he's in the level of great directors.

Peacemaker is no different from other generic tv shows that need crazy amount of time for them to tell a complete story, still nothing great about it. just take a good look at them, very toxic people. They claimed that they are DC fans but always come online to trashtalk any dc project that do not have SNYDRA in it

Early observations from the new DC universe

1. Unlike Snyder's movies that were more matured, we are going back to superheroes for children. Think of the early batman movies.

2. This movie is clearly made for kids. You can see the superheroe costumes look like toys. DC would make bank selling a new set of toys alongside the movies. Win win for them.

3. People criticised Snyder from bringing in Justice League too early. In Gunn's universe, the Justice League already exists. Maybe as at now they're not called the Justice League but we already have images of Hawkgirl and Green Lantern. When people criticised Snyder for bringing in JL too early, I was always confused because there's no one way to build a universe. XMEN didn't need origin stories to build their's.

4. We are clearly going back to the American Hero Superman. This would not be the broody Henry Cavill adoption

5. As this is a kids themed movie, nothing is at stake during battles, unlike in Snyderverse. In the Synder movies when the heroes fight, you know the fate of the world depends on them winning. Check the battle with General Zod in Man Of Steel or even Doomsday in Batman vs Superman. Even though you know the heroes would eventually win, you can feel the gravity of the fight. I see Gunn bringing in unnecessary comedy into fight scenes even with the main villain. It would be like the MCU movies. A fight would be going on and you just can't take it serious because they're still cracking jokes mid-battle. Till today I don't think there's any one-on-one fight in comic book movies as good as Superman vs Zod in Metropolis. It took Superman everything to put Zod down. Even the battle between the US army vs General Zod's henchmen Non and Faora in Smallville was intense as hell. You could see how powerful the Krptonians are

Turned obscured comic book characters like rocket racoon, star lord, groot, peacemaker, vigilante etc into fan-favourite.

Relax chief. I'm not here to throw subs with anyone. Someone makes a post and you Gunn's fans are already up in arms. How many times have I posted on this thread to make you think I'm a Synder guy? You want here to be an echo chamber where everyone kneels down and sucks James Gunn? Lol

Yes Synder movies were more matured than your average Superhero film. Yes they were dark and gritty which means they won't appeal to younger people like 7 years old kids. I would say the Synder movies were made for an older audience, at least 16 years upwards.

Synder movies are one of the few CBM where heroes don't live in a vacuum. We see how regular people in the world react to heroes. It took Marvel until Civil War to explore this. Examples The US army didn't even care to know who the bad guy was between Superman and Zod, they just started shooting at everyone in cape.

Superman is also hated for the casualties that happened at battle, he even had to stand trial.

We see people terrified about Batman. Some people think he's an urban legend, while people who have encountered him think his a spawn of the devil.

On Batman himself, the guy is highly damaged. He's an alcoholic who has terrible nightmares (Yeah the nightmares are just to further the plot). He's been fighting crime in Gotham for over 20 years. He's seen people he thought were good turn to bad guys. He's had his Robin slaughtered by the Joker. At this point he's no longer disillusioned that he's a hero. He knows he's a criminal that goes after other criminals.

How many superhero movies have ever explored these themes? Please mention 5 of them for me, or these are not matured movie themes for you?

Also out of all the points I raised you could only criticise one? Do you agree the costumes were deliberately designed to sell Toys? Do you agree having comedy scenes in the middle of a battle like MCU always does makes the battle feel like there are no stakes involved? Do you agree that we don't necessarily need an origin movie for every hero including the lesser known heroes before we see them team up together? This in particular was one of the biggest criticism of the Synderverse. Everyone wanted him to just copy Marvel's template.

Apart from the fights with Thanos. Tell me 5 Superheroe movies where you watched it and truly believed the fate of the world or city it at stake in the battle. Obviously you can't mention because one minute they are fighting, the next minute they are behaving like Tom and Jerry
