We can't pass the ball and there's no one to latch on Ajibade's deliveries.

Please, why's Ihezuo in this match?
Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by user32(m): 6:53pm On Jul 25, 2024
this team will not win any match

Nah these girls are doing my head in

We are only attacking down one wing

And we also can't secure that same wing to defend

Poor passes, poor decisions, terrible finishing

Didn't Randy know she was not a left wing back player?
It's not about Randy. Okeke is just off today. Making Marta feel like she is still golden, cheap nutmeg. Ashley Plumptry also plays there , which is her secondary role just like okeke.

The coach should make many sub during the second half, lack of concentration at the back.

Has to test the keeper at the very least. She had so much time she literally walked onto that strike

I miss Ashleigh Plumptre man

What is this rubbish ni
Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by daveP(m): 7:00pm On Jul 25, 2024
Echegini on wing is a terrible idea. Experimenting with a team you ought to go brutal on is a terrible idea. These passes are annoying. You can't be seeing a whole space created by ihezuo and still be passing to her(a wack pass at that). The idea is to occupy that space and make those two defenders choose to stop and follow you while ihezuo picks an onside spot while your teammates provide even more passing options. Kilodehuh

That attacking setup and decision making is killing the game. Them dey vex me for simple decisions. Ya passing 1-5 times to same outmarked 9 in same manner. Are you okay. You can't give a lobbed pass ni? Mtchew

Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Deltamani: 7:01pm On Jul 25, 2024
Echegini have to come out for Kanu or Okoronkwo…

Tarceina is dominating Ihezuo on aerial balls, Macleans can go toe to toe with her…!

Ajibade have been double marked by Brazil but she still finds a way to do her things…!

Typical Nigerians because we are losing everyone is calling the team rubbish mcheew

Anyway the girls are trying and with a bit of effort we can either draw or win this match

Kudos to the girls

Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by yinkeys(m): 7:03pm On Jul 25, 2024
Ihezuo didn’t bury her chance.
Demehin didn’t bury her chance.
Echegini didn’t bury hers too

Bad decision to have played Echegini as number 11
That’s not her magic position
Now we don’t have any fresh playmaker on the bench that can come in to change the game
I was expecting her to come off the bench

Now in the 2nd half we may struggle
We have no fresh midfielder that would help connect the defence to attack.
Something the girl that had issues with Randy Waldrum used to do

I don’t see how we dominate the game in the 2nd half. Echegini already appears tired up front. Ihezuo would be taken off for taking that opportunity away from the goalie.
We are to chase the game now but our girls are slower than the Brazilians
Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by lovewins: 7:03pm On Jul 25, 2024
This has been a good game so far. We've created a lot of chances, more than we have in a long while. We are however not making the most of them.

Ajibade is by far the best player in the pitch. Made a few errors but overall she's been fantastic.

Okeke and Demehin have been very poor. Brazil has literally exploited them all game. The left wing in it's entirety isn't in this game. Toni Payne has been making a lot of wrong decisions. I'll rather Randy brings in Kanu to the left wing and move JOE to the middle. JOE also has been absent save for the last possession but it is largely because she isn't getting a lot of the ball.

Ihezuo has been silent. She isn't putting any pressure whatsoever on the defense. Not sure she's won any of the aerial duels all game. Even if she's not scoring her presence should command some defensive attention to open up space for others. Sadly she isn't doing that.

I won't take JOE just out yet. I'll rather take Toni Payne out. I can't point to one good decision she's made in the game so far. I'll rather move JOE to the middle.

You expect Ihezuo to win an aerial duel against the mighty Tarciena? She’s almost as tall as Wendie Renard. There’s Maclean who’s very good in the air and also very powerful, bring her on for Ihezuo who can’t compete with Tarciena aerially.

Ajibade our brightest spot so far, Toni have been indecisive so far! Ucheibe wining her battles but her final passes have been poor.

Kanu have to come in to help out Okeke at the Back, Demehin look not 💯fit.

She’s a creative player.
Who replaces her
We are out of options
Ihezuo would soon be replaced for not having killer instinct finishing

You must be Goating(kidding will be an understatement)

Did you see how that goal was conceded?
And the terrible decisions made?
Are the Brazilians doing anything special to be ahead? And if we lose, nobody will remember we were doing okay until silly loss of concentration at this stage ruined efforts of others. If you can't demand better and it is "typical nigerians" to you, then i dunno what will convince you sha.

Decision making and terrible passes is killing our attack. We are helping the brazilians feel special because of that. That should trigger anger in any Falcons fan.

That's what happens when you play non-creators as your creators.... Toni Payne and Ucheibe have made wrong pass selection and decisions every time they've passed a football. Either they run with the ball when they should pass or they pass to who they shouldn't pass to.
This is where we miss Ayinde. Yes, she’s primarily a DM, but decision-making on when/whom to pass the ball to, is usually spot on

I expect her to, that's why she's in the game. If she can't then this game isn't for her. This isn't an indictment on her person but so far she's isn't offering us anything upfront. If Macleans offer us better chance then she should be in the game. I however think Randy will go Oshoala.
