You say this as If Toni is a poor player.
Did you watch her play at the last world cup??

The way some of you write off players makes me wonder how you watch football.
What did she play in the last world cup?
To lose ball na she sabi

Starting 11

Oshoala and Esther Okoronkwo starts

Ihezuo and JOE on the bench.

Thoughts?
I hope Okeke gets help on her side. Rashida would track back to help Alozie but I doubt Oshoala or Okoronkwo would do that if we are playing a 4-3-3. How I wish one of Gift or Rinsola had been selected for the tournament.

Anyways, very bold statement of intent from Randy, definitely not a conservative set-up. All the best to the girls.

It's surprising to me that this is the first time i'm hearing this. Toni Payne was among if not the best performed player for the super falcons at the world cup.

Here’s the Super Falcons Starting XI to face Spain in todays Paris2024 Olympics match.

What do you think of the lineup ?
Espn has Rashida on the RW, Esther as CF and Aziza as LW. Should be fluid though between the three of them.
Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by wisdomabeljr: 5:18pm On Jul 28, 2024
I think if Brazil and Japan draw their game it would favour us if we can get a point against Spain smiley

their clubs are their place of employment.. you can be employed and not giving an opportunity...

they should be brought to Super Falcons to learn from the established players as successors and to play in international competition and because SF can give them opportunity their club won't give them....

In the Super Falcons, they are not in competition with the established players, they are in succession...

Spain has Pedro, Vazquez, Soler, Ferran Torres, Sarabia, Suso e.t.c but picked Lamine Yamal for the RW position and it paid off...

if you were in the Spanish FA you would have rejected the list the coach submitted because more "ESTHER-BLEACH" players than Nico Williams and Lamine Yamal.
So a club employs a player pay them thousands of dollars and not give them opportunity? Because they will rather waste money than be professional?

Then the National team is the place for players to learn?

Are you even listening to yourself?

And no Spain didn't pick Yamal or Nico out of the blue for them to "learn" like you argued. These guys are regulars at their clubs and among the very best in the La Liga. They both earned their place in the national team and not gifted like you've suggested

Womens Olympic Football

JUST IN | FIFA has banned Canada head coach Bev Priestman for a year following the Olympics drone spying scandal.

Canada has been deducted 6 points in the ongoing Olympic women's football tournament and fined 200,000 Swiss francs.

The 6 points deduction means Canada, who'd bagged a 2-1 win over New Zealand in their opener, now slide to last in Group A (on - 3 points) ahead of their second match against France on Sunday.
A year and all that for being nosey? cheesy I bet the only thing that stands is the points they took away.

No oo...they should beat NZ there's no way Canada is getting 9pts in that group, so its better NZ gets 0 or 1 point overall and gets third place.

Oshoala and Esther will definitely swap position occasionally as game goes on. But Oshoala is no.9..

Even Rash and Okoronkwo will also do the Left and Right Switch. Ajibade don’t need to play on only one side because the how the Spain team will try to nullify her.

This is the best result for us. Worse case scenario today we fight for 3rd place against Japan.

So you guys think Spain Coach doesn’t know that Carmona is not a matchup for Ajibade?🤷‍♂️

🇪🇸 Spain Coach made 3 changes: Olga Carmona, Patri Guijarro and Athenea del Castillo make way for Oihane Hernandez, Teresa Abelleira and Lucia Garcia…

The coach knows too well that Ajibade was going to eat Carmona up and she decided not to play her😂😂

Now it’s going to be a battle between Ona Battle who’s very strong and quick too 🆚 Rasheedat Ajibade.

Our forward line is promising, they all have experience in the Spanish La Liga Femeni and know the Spanish players well..

•• Osinachi Ohale
•• Chidinma Okeke
•• Toni Payne
•• Esther Okoronkwo
•• Asisat Oshoala
•• Rasheedat Ajibade

This 6 players on the lineup have experience playing in the Spainish League, so no cause for alarm🚨

If we by some miracle nick a point today, we will qualify.

Two of the three third placed teams will go through.

We can nick a point vs Japan too.

Let's go girl!!!

If at any time Okeke is struggling with Spain's winger, just move Tony Payne to wingback.
