Nice one. He will use the next year house rent he is supposed to pay the formal landlord to raise the other part, then the upper two years rent to roof the other part. While the other guy will stay a tenant for another 20 years paying rent for a house that will never become his own.

If only we had a good mortgage system in Nigeria

When i stayed in Lagos, I discovered this was common . They will build the whole foundation,raise up a room or two,move in and then slowly complete the house. Most of those house owners where middle class families and not poor

That's the issue I have with that building. The money spent on roofing alone (planks) would probably buy few more blocks. Why do people keep adopting high roofing systems these days. Some people don't have a justifiable reason for their actions oooo

Though the roof in the post is too high, moderately high roofs drains faster which in turns helps the longevity of the roofing sheet.
