The attitude of the northern politicians just made me start supporting Tinubu. If he can handle them then he is the president. The northern politicians can not keep dictating how Nigerian leadership should be.

My problem is not even with your fuel subsidy removal, but the level of corruption in this government is matched to non.
Why not cut the cost of governance in Nigeria? A Nigerian sanator's weekly allowances is enough to feed 5 thousand hungry Nigerians for a year. Politicians are cashing out in billions everyday while you advice the masses to endure.
It's you people that will check your representatives {Senators and House of Reps) not Tinubu. Whether deliberately, undeliberate or ignorantly we all voted for them all and we are the one that can check them properly and not themselves because there is separation of power but all power belong to people who voted them in

Firstly, ThiefNuibu did not remove subsidies. It was removed in the 2023 budget presentation to the NASS in 2022 by Abacha's PTF a-looter comrade who JagaBandit alone made president to ironically fight corruption. The Lagos magician only maintained and continued what was established already, unlike Yar'Adua who reduced fuel price after Obasanjo hiked it just before handing over.

Secondly, Ogbeni Ojuyobo has resumed paying subsidies as confirmed by IMF below.

Thirdly, the Aiyederu man is more northern than northern politicians and will throw every southerner under the bus to remain in charge of our commonwealth for his maximum eight years.

Lizzysamuel:
Nigeria’s reintroduction of a gasoline subsidy months after it was scrapped is expected to guzzle almost half of its projected oil revenue this year, according to the International Monetary Fund.

The implicit subsidy will cost Africa’s largest crude producer an estimated 8.43 trillion naira ($5.9 billion) of its projected 17.7 trillion naira of oil revenue, the IMF said in a report published on Thursday.

Its forecasts according Bloomberg are similar to Bank of America’s, which projects it could cost Nigeria between $7 billion and $10 billion this year if it imports between 18 and 25 billion liters of gasoline, Tatonga Rusike, BofA sub-Saharan Africa economist, wrote in a note.

When Funke Olakurin, daughter of Afenifere leader, Pa Reuben Fasoranti was murdered instead of Bola Tinubu to make sure that the perpetrators were brought to book, he ended up making fun of the death of the young lady by turning everything into tribalism by showing his hates for Igbos.

Tinubu has never spoken against the deadly activities of Fulani herdsmen across the country

Mrs Olakunrin died of gunshot wounds in July 2019 after her vehicle was attacked by armed men, suspected to be marauding Fulani bandits whose violent activities had reached a frightening level across the southwest states.

Those arrested suspects include Lawal Mazaje, 40, from Felele area of Kogi State; Adamu Adamu, 50, from Jada area of Adamawa State; Mohammed Usman, 26, from Illela area of Sokoto State and Auwal Abubakar, 25, from Shinkafi area of Zamfara State....

However, the leader of the team, identified only as Tambaya, and three others are yet to be found.

Tambaya has been declared wanted by the police and he is said to be capable of communicating in Hausa, Fulfude and Pidgin English.

Aptly said.
The corruption and looting currently going on is mind boggling,it is so bad that every sector of the economy is not spared, the future looks bleak.
Loot everything lootable and put in foreign accounts and countries.

People are dying under your watch and you call it having ball.
Having ball is cornering the wealth of the nation to yourself and cronies.
Having ball is not listening to the crying of the people.
I personally will not have this kind of greedy ball.
The problem is many people don't understand what is happening in the country now and what is going to happen ahead. But let's keep watching.

Really? ... such a person is stubborn ... narrow minded ... not flexible ... has tunnel vision. Imagine you are hospitalized and set for a kidney removal surgery... but instead the surgeon is set for amputation of the left leg below the knee. ..his mind has long been made up because that's what the chart says. He promises you that your leg will be off in just ten minutes What should he do when told he was handed the wrong chart? ... that's it's kidney and not leg surgery?

Audit the NNPC in the last 20 years
Stop immediate full payment of the subsidy which your government is actually doing.....
Have our refineries work to major capacity or restructure our economy to have the states and local governments working....
If these are implemented gradually, we would understand.

I have been reading some rubbish misguided comments here.

Who asked him not remove subsidy? HOW did he remove it ? What is he doing with the fund he saved from it ?
Don't tell you removed it and you are still paying it to our detriment.
People like Obasanjo who know so much has told the world that the subsidy is still in force and some nobodies are telling us what they don't know. All because Tinubu is from your tribe. Nothing more.

Let us be Honest to ourselves , There is hardship , hunger in the land. Aside the Hardship Tinibu is the only Candidate that has the ball to Curtail Excesses of Nothern Elite, Imagine during Buhari Regime , they all kept quiet. Alot of loots happened During That tenure . Why is it only northerners that carry this Protest for head , to the extend of waving Russian's flag.
Thats a treason offense, Punishable under the law. That act should be condemned , its an aberration.
We all own this country together.

It is only a nincompoop that does not know that these politicians (whether APCheat, PDP, Labour Party, etc) have not the interests of the commoners at heart. So you mean BAT knew before now and a strong advocate of fuel subsidy removal and yet, led a protest (with his fellow wicked idiat; Buhari and a host of others) against GEJ on the same action? Wowshocked !!

But can I really blame them enough? I don't think so. Those of you who voted APCheat due to ignorance were not wise! See how old, clueless and wicked thieves fo*led y'all!!!
Oga, subsidy is a failed policy and so upholding such policy is like promoting corruption you crave to stop.
Yes we have corruption in many sectors of the economy yet let's take it one after the other. Subsidy first, local government autonomy second, dormant account retrieval from dubious banks third and lots of others. Let's cooperate with this government they are really trying honestly.
The fight now should only be against dubious governors, senators, reps and LG chairmen who have been unquestionably embezzling funds.

"Let me be very frank here, if any president will come up and dare to return to payment of petrol subsidy or forex subsidy, he will have to deal with reversing the gains we have attained with reduction of percentage of what we were spending out of all our revenue to service debt, which we have reduced from 98% to 67%. Then, he will need to borrow to run virtually every other responsibilities of government, including to pay salaries or even to construct a kilometre of road.
With this, more debts are incurred and debt servicing will now exceed all our revenue thereby leading to bankruptcy and a total collapse of every facets of the governance system."

Copied.
