For nearly 2 decades the few analytics guys in the league have been saying it was better to shoot 3s than the long 2s, they have been saying don't challenge a shot blocking big at the rim if you can bring them out to the perimeter on a PnR,but none of the nbas brain trust agreed with them up until Curry. As soon as the 3s thing proved to be true, they had to start listening to other things as well.
