What Jesus Said About Selling Miracle Products, e.g. Water, Soap, Perfume etc.

Matthew 10:8 (KJV)

Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.

This is what Jesus said to those He gave power to heal the sick, raise the dead, cast out devils.

Jesus said, "Freely Ye have Received, Freely Give".

Therefore all those who claim to have received the power to heal the sick, raise the dead and cast out demons, etc., but were still selling it and not giving it freely as Jesus commanded His disciples to do were all fake and false prophets.

That's why they're not obeying Jesus' commandment, because true disciples of Jesus keep His commandments not to sell but to freely give.

So it doesn't matter how common the erroneous practice of selling the so-called "miracle products" becomes, it can never change the fact that it is clearly wrong and goes against Christ teachings.

There is no place in the Bible any disciple of Jesus charged anyone any amount for miracles despite doing many notable miracles.

Even the person that offered money to receive such power to do such miracles received a very strong rebuke from Peter to prove how wrong such a practice was.

Please pay attention to the bolded below:

And when Simon saw that through laying on of the apostles' hands the Holy Ghost was given, he offered them money,
Saying, Give me also this power, that on whomsoever I lay hands, he may receive the Holy Ghost.

Thou hast neither part nor lot in this matter: for thy heart is not right in the sight of God.
Repent therefore of this thy wickedness, and pray God, if perhaps the thought of thine heart may be forgiven thee.
For I perceive that thou art in the gall of bitterness, and in the bond of iniquity.
Then answered Simon, and said, Pray ye to the Lord for me, that none of these things which ye have spoken come upon me.

That's a perfect illustration of a true disciple of Christ.

They know and keep His commandments.

Christ said this is the verdict light has come but men themselves love darkness. You have to be thinking in a certain way for people to exploit you at times. So it's not just onesided.
