Weak argument really. Faith, by its very nature, is a subjective experience, and to say that its efficacy is dependent on my personal beliefs is like saying that the laws of physics only apply if I believe in them. Does that make any sense?

Now, the burden of proof lies with those making the claims. If something is genuinely spiritually efficacious, then it should be able to demonstrate its effectiveness regardless of my personal beliefs. Otherwise, we're simply talking about a form of confirmation bias, where one's beliefs are reinforced by a willingness to believe, rather than any objective evidence.
