Nigerian singer Ololade Ahmed, popularly known as Asake, has made history as the first African musician to top the global Spotify debut chart.

He acclaimed the feat after his recently released third studio album ‘Lungu Boy’ peaked at number one on the chart.

The 15-track album, with guest features from Wizkid, Travis Scott, Stormzy, Central Cee and Ludmilla, broke the record for the biggest first-day streams for an African album on Spotify.

The album garnered 9.42 million streams on the Global Spotify Chart on its first day.

One of the standout tracks from the album ‘MMS’ featuring Wizkid, broke the record for the biggest first-day streams on Spotify Nigeria with 870,000 streams.

All these Artists with the same Rhythm of "yvnsh, brest, fine girl, in love e tc..."

Gone where the days of people like Fela Kuti, Lagbaja to some extent,

These ones sing to proffer solutions to contemporary issues then and point out the bad leaders.

But now what we have are just crooked voices with oversimplifying edit, singing nonsense.

Asake made history, they still looked for a way to be tribalistic. Tribalism has eaten deep just like racism in the western world. SMH
