I pray you're able to get your daughter's visa approved soon. There's a particular point I'll like to call our attentions to, from experience, Visas officers are concerned about 2 major things: 1. That you are eligible or qualified for the kind of visa you're applying for. 2. You are actually telling them the truth backed with valid documents to prove these truths. These are what are needed, once these 2 points are met, you'll by God's Grace get the visa approved, the problem most people have is trying to package their applications to portray they are qualified for these visas thereby telling various lies, while in actual sense, they are not qualified. Get a court order and explain to the visa officer in your cover letter exactly the way you explained above and I'm sure by God's Grace, you'll have your daughter's visa approved. Visa officers are human too and they understand these things. If you have chat histories where the father denied the pregnancy, you can screenshot and add to the application, chats with your mum and uncle that can prove your stories, add them all l. I wish you and your children the best. Thanks. Eliezer28: |

sanyaolurilwan:The only issue here is that once you are caught lying , they find it very difficult to believe anything you say. Please say the truth and pray. May God see you through |

Eliezer28:You need a lawyer to go about this. Preferably someone not out to fleece you as this is a straightforward case if the father has been an absentee even pre-delivery. The lawyer would know how to approach the court and start the application to be able to obtain a TRUE and LEGAL sole responsibility order awarded to you. Also get official written statements from the child’s school teachers, child’s doctors, parents of child’s friends to state one thing that you are the only parent they have known and where possible to prove that you are the one that has single handedly paid all medical, feeding, school bills etc This is in addition to every other advice written from others. |

giselle237:I have involved lawyer so he said I should go and get DNA test done first…and he said I should not reapply that I should go for the administrative review |
| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Cashmadam: 7:42pm On Aug 14, 2024 |
Eliezer28:That Lawyer wants to eat your money. Administrative review works when the visa officer made a mistake and you can prove it. In your case, you lied and you were caught. What is there to review? Trust me, you will just waste time and money. Anyway, Lawyer needs your money so he or she will tell you what you want to hear. |

Cashmadam:I didn't lie about anything....i gave them the prove dey need....and ukvi also said i can apply for administrative review |
| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by giselle237: 7:55pm On Aug 14, 2024 |
Eliezer28:UKVI tells everyone they can apply for administrative review. This is not unique to your case. Also you didn’t submit any proof to UKVI. You submitted affidavit.. what role does affidavit have in this serious situation? |
| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Eliezer28: 8:01pm On Aug 14, 2024 |
giselle237:so what do you advise me to do now, apply for another one |
| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by giselle237: 8:09pm On Aug 14, 2024 |
Eliezer28:1. Provide funds for your daughter to be adequately cared for in Nigeria. She would not be travelling this month or next month at the earliest. 2. If you have not already left her behind, please stay back with her until you can get a GENUINE COURT ORDER granting you sole custody of her. Your relationship and presence in your child’s life is more important. pls sworn affidavit is not admissible and that birth certificate with her uncle’s name as father’s name is a big issue. Do not leave your little one behind. |

Eliezer28:Hello. Did you not lie that your Uncle is your child's father? You admitted that yourself. If you need help, then you need to be honest with yourself and the people you are asking for help. By the way, this issue is going to be long so best you retain that Lawyer..... My daugher is a Lawyer in the UK. If you need her help to verify anything your Lawyer tells you, let me know. I will ask her on your behalf. Good luck! |

Eliezer28:You are not listening.. You have a father on the child’s birth certificate. UKVI can not take your word that the person is not truly the child’s father. What is hard to comprehend? By the birth certificate the father of the child is alive and therefore the child can not become a dependent of your husband on his skilled worker visa. Whether you are now saying the name or the person is your uncle is now late and can not be substantiated by them without proof. After all you provided a birth certificate with this person’s name as the father. This is a great anomaly You need to correct this information with PROOF and to further substantiate your claim that you are the only parent the child knows and has ever known, you need a COURT ORDER! This is the last time I will speak on this as you are not listening. |

Cashmadam:OK please do..but like I said earlier my uncle stood has a father for my daughter when she wanted to obtain her passport...there's nothing to lie about...because my mom and my uncle are barein the same surname...i decided to use the name seems my mom insisted.... |

So if you go for administrative review, the dna test and court order was not included in your initial submission so they will probably deny you again cos they will be reviewing based on documents you have already submitted. So you might have to reapply and include dna test, court order and other supporting documents. |
| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Phraences: 9:57pm On Aug 14, 2024 |
Eliezer28:But putting your uncle as your baby daddy on birth certificate because passport office were insisting is already a lie. So the Visa people are going by what is on the birth certificate that the uncle is the father and not your claim that he is your uncle. I guess in the past women have tried to abscond with children without consent of the father. You need to go and regularize your child’s birth information whether through court or however. |

giselle237:Take it easy. She is just confused especially when her lawyer is saying something else. |
OK I get you should I reapply again for her I think what they are basically tell you to do is CALM DOWN. BREATHE...... then do the DNA test Start the court order process in guidance with a seasoned lawyer Get proper proof of funds Fix other supporting documents Do all these before anything like reapplying should cross your mind. I know you are agitated as every mother would, but just calm down. I wish you luck |

| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by giselle237: 7:00am On Aug 15, 2024 |
Phraences:She does not have a lawyer. If she does, some of the questions like should I reapply and where can I get court order will not arise again. Maybe an agent yes but definitely not a lawyer |
| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Kenelekan: 7:22am On Aug 15, 2024 |
CAPITAL YES…… but definitely not now or another 2 months time……. … one of the things I will suggest u do is the birth certificate affidavit, stating the correction of the anomaly of the uncle/father issue I really don’t believe the decision of ur next application won’t be referenced from this refused one ……too convoluted Eliezer28: |

What help is available for people who are applying for a UK visa because they are running away from danger or bad situations in their own country? How does the visa process work for people who have been through traumatic experiences, and are there special resources to support them? |

My people I greet y'all especially the ones painstakingly answering our questions here Please what's the turnaround time for visit visa applications now? My mother in law applied on the 5th of August and I want to know how fast or slow they are nowadays. |
