U see when Fg/Nigerian soldiers under Yakubu Gowon massacred NDIGBO in Asaba, they didn't ask if the hundreds of men who had gathered to welcome Nigerian soldiers @ Asaba were NDIGBO or not.

It's unfortunate for the enemies to know who you really are & don't care if you claim to be someone else.

We heard that why many Ikwerres disclaim to be NDIGBO is because their fathers had seized thousands of buildings (which belonged to their Igbo Brothers & sisters (including Amazon Onyeka Onwenu's Mother's Building), then changed street names & mischievously distorted the spellings & pronunciations of those Igbo Names, shortly after the Nigerian/Biafran world war. Even Rotimi Amaechi revealed that Wike's father was one of those who had seized such buildings. So they don't want to lose those buildings & landed properties. David Mark did not help matters by declaring such buildings as "abandoned properties" even in the face of FG/Yakubu Gowon's "3Rs". So, when the real owners returned to continue, alas, their brothers and sisters whom they had lived with & helped in developing PH/Rivers had claimed their properties just within a space of 2 years or even much less!

FG/Gowon deliberately carved out so Mani NDIGBO Ancestral lands into various States across the federation to cause dichotomy & weaken NDIGBO! Such evil!

We welcome the AWAKENING & RENAISSANCE! NDIGBO exists everywhere! Mere & political geography won't stop recognising that we are all NWAFOR!

People should try and no their root irrespective of wherever they find themselves. While growing up I knew nothing about my root but along the line my parents started doing the needful. Just as a very great gentleman spoke earlier, 99.9% of anioma people, are true blood igbos. Other great igbos know this fact. No be today. And we love them like ourselves, they have equal rights like igbos in the so called SE, dem get say on any igbo affairs.



Calabar, ibibio, etc dun dey here since morning, igbos never ever claim them as siblings, because we can see that they are a little difference and not much cultural cohesion, but go to anioma, or other igbo areas in benue, kogi, and rivers, and see the deep similarities between every igbos.

Ọnịcha to Onitsha
Owere to Owerri
Ahaba to Asaba
Nsụka to Nsukka
Enugwu to Enugu,

etc.

They even replaced Igbo with Ibo

According to our Igbo teacher back then, the white colonial masters didn't have certain sounds like ch, gb, gw in their alphabets, so they replaced those sounds with what they considered to be the nearest sound and alphabets

I don't think an Ika man will agree to this. If they are from Benin why are they speaking Igbo and not Benin? The Ibanke people in Benin are only migrants from Delta state as I've made to believe from previous responses. Nobody even recognize the Ibanke people in Edo state as a whole so the ikas can't be from Benin
