This is a very rubbish, senseless and insensitive suggestion by the minister of education and aproval by the president.
This is a very rahes, harsh and inhumane policy.

All the people rejoicing and saying only negative things about schools in Togo and Benin Republic are very ignorant and coat chasers.

Ask yourselves true unbiased questions, make independent research and find out things for yourself.

Don't use few bad eggs to condemn the rest of the Bunch...there are bad eggs even here in the Nigerian universities system.
There are lots of sound, intelligent genuie students which I have even come across some of them from there.
Who has judges we the Nigerian products based off the few bad eggs amongst them..?

The minister is playing out a plot by some cabals(probably offended politically exposed persons with scores to settle or Nigerian private university/polytechnic owners) using the certificate saga as cover.

His press release were filled with lies and sensationalization.

Ask yourselves...why he was quick to declare all the universities there fake but refused to mention the few he claimed were accredited..?

*Nigeria cannot accredit a school outside here territory, she can only recognize while the resident country of the UnIs have the legal rights to accredit.

*All over the world universities in some countries do their programs for 3yrs even in some E.U countries so that should never be an issue.

*All over the world even in China, France, Russia, Ukraine...etc private and even their government universities run English programs in their non-English societies.
Some of these countries use the Bi-lingua system which gives them language edge.

*Why is he lumping all the students& universities from these countries as fake and recommending wicked polices that will disenfranchise about 22k students..?
Why not target only those found culpable and leave the innocent..?
Why put thousands of parents and their wards who genuinely studied there into uncertainties..?

*Why did his panel except Niger republic, Cameroon, Ghana, Uganda, Suadan, Kenya etc from the initial report..?
*Why don't their search light and muscle flexing get to our very own Nigerian universities into this fake certificate racketeering and even the universities in the western world(U.S...e.g CSU, E.U countries and Asia)..?

*Did the F.G put enough institutions in place with transparent admissions system that will enable almost all Nigerians easy access to higher education?

*The vested interests of some people in the Nigerian govt system who are up in battle with their rival universities in these countries who they think are cheaper alternative taking their 'supposed customers' using the excuse of fake certificates...the present minister of education is not new to all these schnanigans.....he did at law school as the DG against some African country graduates.

He should come out openly to us whose interest he is trying to protect, which private university in Nigeria does he own or is a board member in.

Why is it that months immediately the minister was appointed an investigative report came up from nowhere against these schools?

They only target these 2 west African countries they can easily bully.....try that with Ghana, Kenya, S.A, CIV or even Senegal or any other serious countries and the F.G will get a reciprocal harsh response from these countries.

With the millions of unemployed, the government wants to create many more unemployment problems and potential security risks.
Now I believe this government thrives in sufferings of the people.
2027 will be very interesting and people wiill pay back.

Bottom line....... separate the fake certificate holders from the genuine holders from these countries...don't throw away the bay with bath water thereby punishing those whose academic pursuit there were genuine...that's wickedness!

Although a couple of them actually sat of exams, but they never attended any class and ease at which the obtained the degrees still baffles me till date.

This policy like many others will fail at the point of implementation.

Oga no be like that, have you interviewed any of those students before.? It's purely laziness and some rich spoiled Thier children. Infact, several I spoke to while I was at seme border told me you can get degrees admission without o, level and jamb once you score 40% in Thier school exam. They pay good money. Many of them with 9x F9 got admitted. Is it government that made them performed poorly in waec where there mates excell?
