Where does consciousness go?


Is it energy that gets converted?

The soul leaves the body, and the body becomes lifeless. The real person (embodied in the soul) will be no more. What then remains is just flesh....

The soul then begins another journey on its own - a spiritual one. One which has no return!!!

The soul is the engine - the driving force of the flesh throughout its sojourn on earth. So the soul is basically, the inner person controlling the outer person that we know...

Once that is gone, the soul goes on its own journey to the Almighty, while the now lifeless body goes to cemetry to be buried, as it is now useless....

Surely, I know that a Supreme Being created us all. We didn't just came by out of nowhere!

Whatever happens to a goat, a chicken, an ant, a tree, a flower etc after death is the exact same thing that happens to a human after death.

I'm glad you acknowledge that we have similarities with the other animals.
Think about the way other animals are born and the way humans are born, it is strikingly similar. Two adult goats of opposite genders have sex and it results in pregnancy. After a few months, a bouncy baby goat is born, it lives its life in a goaty way and die eventually, end of story (no heaven or hell for it or any kind of afterlife, it just ceases to exist).
The only thing that makes our life different from other animals life is our intelligence. It's because of our intelligence that we are able to make plans, set goals, have beliefs (both true and false), have notion about good and evil, form theories about what happens to us when we die, learn things in school, live in a well organised society and generally live a far more purposeful life.
So all the differences between humans and other animals is merely attributable to INTELLIGENCE . And it doesn't imply that our life is any more special in the grand scheme.
