Rico Lewis and Amass are not the same player. Also Rico Lewis is 2.5 yrs older than Amass. At Amass current age Rico Lewis had not started making Man City bench, and that is despite the fact that his job would have been easier defending for a dominant team like City.

Putting a young defender on the pitch when he is not ready can destroy his confidence irreparably.

I said on the bench atleast to understudy the senior players and gaining first team experience. I am not expecting him to start games for now but atleast it won't be bad having on the bench till Shaw and Malacia get their leave break from Carrington Clinic.
