LFC were always going to be stronger and more technical in the midfield, so how on earth did ETH allow that huge gap between bruno and our two CM? If he wants to play this way, then abandon the so called playing out of the back and boot the ball up field so that we have 4 of our players contesting for the ball. What if he is not ready? I am just saying that the Rico Lewis that you mentioned was not even making Man City bench at this same age, so it is not a good example.
If he is not ready it is better for him to get minutes with the Under-21s rather than rotting on the senior bench. Defense is not like midfield or attack where you can just throw a young player in when not ready. A brief cameo against Salah or Saka can wreck his confidence.

Case is just too loose with the ball in that midfield. He has been like that since he came, and now that his legs are gone he can't correct his mistake.
He either takes too long on the ball and gets caught in possession or he hurries the pass and gives it away cheaply. Our CDM should not be that generous with the ball to the opponent. I would start Collyer in the next game if Ugarte is not yet match fit.

Play Garnacho and Amad on either wing. As soon as Amad came on, Liverpool started double-marking him. That's him taking out an extra player because of his directness. Imagine if we had Garnacho running at TAA and Amad doing the same on the right wing. Liverpool would have been more cautious in their approach, but no, Rashford must start. And yes, we should have let Casemiro go. At this stage in his career, he is a liability both on and off the ball. His defensive instinct and positioning are still good, but all the other aspects of his game are off point.

To be honest they should have done that during the protracted negotiation period last season, even before they bought the club. Maybe because many of them were still in other jobs sha, but then why extend his contract.

Around Feb/March last season when they finally took over i was expecting Nagelsmann, Flick, or De Zerbi to get the job. The way it is looking now, only De Zerbi remains as an option out of the 3. Berarda and Ashworth need to earn their pay now and get someone that can take us back to winning ways.
