Pls how can i handle a case of assault and harassment from my neighbour. I noticed the man's sufferings and how to cope in this economy is making him frustrated,thereby hating on me for no reason,on how I'm able to overcome everything. I have 2cars,a gen,solar,food ,comfort and all life,but days ago the man started insulting me over some lil issues of his useless chickens coming to my front door to poo and mess up everywhere. He then assaulted me and threatened to beat me up,this man is close to 65 years but has refused to respect his age and fend got his family. Should I report the case to the Nigerian police, so that he can be locked up for at least 6months without trial. He seemed to be relieved after the embarrassment he caused me and some sort of boosted his dead ego. The spirit amongst the poor is ,they hate to see young ma. Succeed. All my friends have told me to record it when next he tries such,but I don't need no next time. I want to deal with him legally.pls what's the way forward...

I think that something is missing in your story. Did the man just begin to insult and threaten you because his chickens poo at the front of your door? As in, he just saw his chickens pooing in front of your door and started threatening you?

To drive two cars in a rented apartment where fowls poo in your front door is unwise.

Try and sell one of the cars and work towards having your own home.

Are you allowed to have solar energy in a rented apartment? That’s interesting and actually nice if they allow that. I know that here, it’s part of the house so only the landlord can install it for the tenant to enjoy.

That being said, if you’re doing as well as you say you are, it might be time to reconsider your accommodations. That set up doesn’t sound comfortable or safe for you.

Though I strongly believe this is a made-up story, however I like to say that if you have such luxuries of life and you see an old man of 65 suffering and unable to support his family, good judgement demands that you offer assistance in any way.

Remember that it is God who gives opportunities to acquire anything. You're not the wisest or the most intelligent.

Even if the man is responsible for his predicament, nothing stops you from giving what's convenient for you.

Life is full of hidden asymmetries where the risks and rewards are not evenly distributed.

Meanwhile, it would be a wise decision to relocate from that environment.

The simple question here is how many landlords allow tenants raise chickens on their property knowing fully well that the poop and smell would inconvenience other tenants?

If he's story is true which I highly doubt, all he has to do is to inform his landlord.

To cut the long story short,guys it's my house,tho it's an inheritance, but I found myself in a village settings. We are quite many tho,from my findings,they said the man has some mental problems as his wife has turned him into a house boy .so I just backed out fully,I turned down the idea of inviting the police.my revenge plan is by the corner,I also equipped myself with a dagger and a baseball bat,and I've sworn to kill the man anytime he trespass. That same day after I kill him,I'd japa. So for now I'm watching closely.
