TVTM2023:
The girls played well against Venezuela but now i think they should get ready to play defence and the game of their lives against Japan.

Japan is very technical and very very good at set pieces.
An early goal will help Nigeria.

At least 3-2 can be the score or so.

If Nigeria qualifies, it will be good.
If we are lucky to beat Japan, we go come go face tiki taka Spain.
No hope really. We're not that fluid.

US have alot of quality upfront and Pietra Tordin was the player to watch before the tournament we knew the others, she had been the best in the build up to the tournament. Dudley suffering from too many talents in the forward line unless they go with a formation like 2-3-5
She's not suffering from anything. If those players were so good why didn't they stay the obviously harder match? Anyways u believe what u want but I know there is no striker in that country on her level. What she can do they can't even dream of.

We are not that cohesive or should i say, decisive and coordinated in attack to upset that Japan backline.

Next up, if they focus on Alani wing alone, 2goals go comot from there. As poor as Ven were, she kept making terrible decisions that almost gave them a goal with just crosses alone. Or is it the captaincy. Cos our last captain was queen of misplaced passes in 1st 2 games.

A 343 or 4231 approach might help suck in the Japan style and reduce damage. Frustration might be the best game plan. I say this with hope because deep down, we are no match for the Japanese normally. They fit do double wetin Germany do us.

We need running against Japan.

If Faith Omilana did well in the match against Venezuela, then she should start against Japan. If Aminat Bello did well in the no 9 role yesterday, then she should play there. Chris Danjuma must get it right against Japan.

We have no tactical personnel to stop Maya Hijikata. Yina cant. Alani can't either. Best bet is making sure we use their weak RB side to attack them. Imuran and Flourish combo. Both attack. Both defend. Any better Olise replacement? undecided

The second qualifying round has been drawn.
Which 12 teams are likely to progress to the group stage?

Still can't rap my head around why UEFA insists on this format. How do you group some of the best and popular teams in Europe to knock themselves out then group less popular teams together?

This is happening because it's the women's league and it needs to stop.

The League Path pairings are outrageous.

Omor e no easy at all… All the teams at this stage are strong though. Anyway UEFA need to increase the Group stages to 24 teams because this pairing is very very rough for all the clubs involved.

Anyway big game for our Ladies..

Paris Fc vs Man City
PSG vs Juv
Benfica vs Hammarby

Na lie. Not alll the teams are as strong as the others. I understand the reasoning behind it but it doesn't make sense.

What they did was to have a special grouping for league winners across Europe and have another for 2nd and 3rd from the top leagues. It's the only reason why Celtic has a better chance at making the champions league than Arsenal or Man City does. There's no metric where Mura or Osijek is better than PSG. UEFA needs to rethink this format cause apart from how ridiculous it is, it also doesn't make any business sense potentially leaving out the best teams in the world with the best players out of the competition.

I understand the tournament got bigger but New Zealand and Fiji still should be fighting for one slot. Even if there are 36 teams, they should still manage one spot grin

Omor Bayelsa Queens have lost few of their players since their return from the Champions League qualifiers in IvoryCoast..

Some of them went to join Clubs in Morocco 🇲🇦, I wondered why they didn’t just wait till after the Champions League. Better offer might even come sef. Anyways GoodLuck to them.

By the way am seeing Former U20 and SuperFalcon Midfielder Amarachi Okoronkwo (Lady on the Nigeria track suit) there in that photo. She don Join them from Confluence Queens??

I think Aduku might be a better option to handle the U20 team. With the quality of Football they played in IvoryCoast they’re far better than the Falconet. I did enjoy watching them than the Falconet.

Those ones felt like mercs to me at some point. It partly explains it. The club sef no serious. Couldn't even prepare for such if at all they were aware of that outcome. Repped and went back to oblivion. I hope Edo Queens are at least learning and eager to do better off field.

Falconets already have 5 players with Super Falcons caps. Flourish, Jumoke, Comfort, Chiamaka and Opeyemi. Shukurat and Yina will definitely make it 6 and 7
