Logbook: My Data Analytics Learning Journal by Airko(op):
I am going to be documenting my journey of becoming a Data Scientist through the Data Analytics pathway.

I actually started officially on the 14th of January 2022 although I've been too relaxed in my learning due to other commitments.

This is going to be in form of a diary/journal kind of record but as an engineer, I'll call it my logbook.

I'll be sharing some other aspects of my life so this would not just be about programming and data stuff. A few back stories here and there and materials I'm using at each step of the process.

This log should be done daily but I can't make promises. I'll update as often as I can and hopefully this helps me to be more focused and consistent.

Beginning my journey to mastering python for both Data Analytics and hardware development

Finally got back to learning after almost a year.

Started python from scratch again. I skipped the fundamentals this time and moved straight to the parts I need.

Started with Jupyter Notebook but after the first video, I switched to Jupyter Lab. All my tutorial videos are in Jupyter Notebook though.

I am currently learning numpy. Just one more video left.

PS: I have gone through some of the tutorials before but I am yet to complete all. In the meantime, this is just like a refresher course until I go deeper.

It's been a while.

I have been quite busy with work. I work mostly with SQL (Oracle) and PowerBI.

Recently, I started learning Bash scripting on the side. I also want to resume learning other abandoned stuffs like Python.

Hi and well done.

I can relate to what you’re going through - inconsistencies with learning or, in a more general term, concluding projects/tasks.

I streamlined mine to sticking to one goal at a time. You’d agree there seem to be endless availability of distractions (family, work or “life” also) but simplifying things and trying not to do much multitasking can make your path clearer and eventually, easy to navigate.

Rooting for you and hoping you eventually see it through!

Cheers.

Thank you very much. I really need to focus

So I have decided on improving my SQL and PowerBI at the moment since that is what my job requires. I have gotten someone at work that we can learn together and hopefully hold ourselves accountable.

We just came up with plans for how we want to go about it and we are starting with SQL.

I will still continue with my Bash scripting but it won't be a priority.

So for tonight I want to see how far I can go with SQL. I will be taking a refresher course on the basics from W3School. Then I will watch one of my Bash scripting videos. I think I stopped at video 5. The reason why I am not really motivated about the Bash scripting is because I am not yet sure what I want to do with it.

But before I do any of this. I have decided to start a diary where I can update daily without distractions. The goal of that will be just to write what I learnt that day, about life in general, maybe as a quote or something but it should be short enough that I can do it daily even when I am super tired.

This place will continue to serve it's original with a few adjustments from time to time.
