Segunagagu:Thank you. I went down a research rabbit hole and found out that they don't accept most types of meat and their products to be imported... Fish and snail are fine and have their weight limits, but for beef, chicken, goat, pig etc. they don't allow again. Other plant based foods are fine like egusi, ogbono and so on. Heard it's a new thing or something like that. Just putting this here so others will see and know what to pack. |

boneruns:Thanks All. My passport was returned yesterday with visa stamped. Although I sent my application to London visa office, but I did not include my original UK resident permit in my document, hence the delay. I sent the office an email inquiring application update, and they said I should have included my original resident permit. So I would advice that you send email to the visa office you applied to get an update about your application if the processing time has elapsed. Cheers. |

Justiceotuya:There could be any number of reasons for that; you just have to wait it out or send them a mail as regards the delay. |

Just as a gentle reminder, You can submit your study permit applications 3 months * for January intakes or 4 -5 months ahead * for September intakes. Worse case scenario is 7-8 weeks before resumption. Praying for everyone expecting a decision on their visa applications, may God grant you favour. |

james8085:Mine was 31st of July, and they are yet to attend to my application. However, a couple of applications that were submitted between 20-29th July have been processed. A disturbing case is that of Justice, a member of this thread who submitted on the 10th and his is still yet to be processed. It's getting complicated i tell you |

Good morning everyone, My course duration is 15 months, and I’m a bit confused about the Proof of Funds (POF) and medical insurance requirements. Do I need to show POF for 15 months or just for 1 year? Additionally, should I get medical insurance for a year or for the full 15 months? Thank you. |
| Re: Ireland Study Visa thread,General Life Experience of Nigerians Living in Ireland by Segunagagu(op): 11:00am On Sep 22, 2024 |
victor75:Hey. U only show proof of funds for one year. For insurance. U can't even purchase more than a year, as u will have to renew. Hope that helps. |

Good morning everyone, please I submitted my application on the 31st of July.... It's 8 weeks now, the school I applied to resumed on the 12th of September. I just don't know my fate right now. Please, I need advice on how to go about it. |

DoubleEmpire231:Good morning, brother. Have you been in contact with the embassy since you submitted your application? |
| Re: Ireland Study Visa thread,General Life Experience of Nigerians Living in Ireland by GrasstoGrace: 1:15pm On Sep 23, 2024 |
DoubleEmpire231:Exactly my situation, I've even been advised by my school to defer till January 2025 intake. I'm not sure if I'll be able to use the same visa if i defer to the January 2025 intake. |

GrasstoGrace:I don’t think you will need to apply for a visa again if it gets approved |

DoubleEmpire231:I'll advise you track your application online to be sure that the embassy have received your application cos the VFS people can be fuzzy at times. I submitted on the 31st of July and my application got to the embassy on the 2nd of September. Imagine!! More than a whole month to deliver my application from Lagos to Abuja! It's insane |
