BlindAngel:I don't think the vehicle gulp fuel then That 6L was probably 5. something litres due to the fact that these filling station dnt dispense real volume for each litre Going by 6L then it means your vehicle does 5km - 6km per litre then I dont think its gulp fuel then n I will advise you use keg to buy fuel next to check if the dispense was accurate and not accuse your vehicle wrongly. Buy just 5 litres inside a 5litres keg and see if it correct |

jay0:Bro and his mechanic doesn't know about cars ![]() I know venza uses 2.5 2.7L engines on the 4 cylinders and a 3.5L on the V6, and a 2012 Toyota corrola has a 1.8L L4 engine. So I don't know where he pulled out his whole write up from. Even the rare XRS version uses a 2.4l block which is used on the camry, not venza. |

BlindAngel:First, you should understand that every engine is identified by model number. Not street Mechanic slangs like Venza Engine. Use your car VIN to get detail of your car including engine model and trim online. That will also tell you if the engine has been swapped out, by crosschecking the physical engine. 2. Stop getting mechanics to fiddle with your car, yo will end up with badly tuned car. 3. Nothing wrong with your bank 1(front) and bank 2 (back) oxygen sensors. If your catalyst is missing, engine ECU or computer will be seeing it as faulty bank 2 oxygen sensor. This affects how much fuel your injector sprays into the engine. Infact, most mechanics will even cut the wires to bank 2 oxygen sensors once the catalyst is removed, leaving you ECU running in default setting. There are several tables or guides stored in your ECU computer which tells it how much fuel to use based on reports from rear O2 sensor. Whenever it is not seeing sensible report from this sensor it assumes something is wrong and uses a default table which will run the engine in an inefficient fuel rich mode, but with enough power such that you may assume nothing is wrong. It's like operating your car with carburettors, and loosing the efficency brought by computer controlled injectors. The only way to fix this problem is to replace your catalyst. If you can't, drive the car as it is because the only other way is to re-programmed the ecu with your own tables which will not be efficient and cost way more than a catalyst. Note- that your scanner guy cannot reprogrammed ECUs. Yankee peeps who do sell them as costly custome ECUs on ebay. And it will still require a catalyst. So go buy a replacement catalyst. No modern car using computer controlled injection and ignition can run fuel efficiently without catalyst, it is just impossible. To scan your car yourself, buy a Bluetooth ELM 327 OBD2 scanner, download the app on your smart phone and scan your car. Some guy based in a plaza in Ikeja Ogba sells it on Jiji. |

providencia:Yea I already modified that in. I didn't add that initially because that's the rare version and it's the camry engine not the venza. Venza uses 2.5, 2.7 and 3.5. Even that 2.4 xrs trim na one chance engine if that engine give you issue you go drive the motor enter bush ![]() |

chido20:I am also laughing hard here.....what does he even mean by Toyota with venza engine? And depending where he is 8k is about 8 liters in Lagos and even for a V6 engine he should still be able to get about 7 km AVG per ltr,hwy and cty combined. When he is done unlearning that rubbish thought that his corolla has a venza engine,he should check the oxygen sensors on that car. |

psalmson001:Don't mind the op,he doesn't know what he is saying, however the only sienna that uses the 2.7ltr engine is the 2000 model sienna with 1MZ engine and the venza wasn't even around then.....it's the 2003 model upwards that comes with 3MZ and 2GR variants, the 2GR is same with the venza 3.5ltr V6 and it's standard.....no sienna after 2003 had 2.7 ltr engine. |

Lithiumite: Lithiumite: Lithiumite: Lithiumite: Lithiumite: Lithiumite: Lithiumite:Corrolla and Venza don’t share the same Engine . The four plug venza shares same engine with some other Toyota product in which Corrolla is not among the cars.. Toyama cars like Camry 2010 to 2011, and Rav 4 2010 shares same engine with the venza ( 4 pug) . On the other hand the 6 cylinder version of the Benz’s shares similar engine with other 6 cylinder engine of other Toyota products like , highlander from 08, Camry from 07 , Lexus 350, Rav 4, etc |

What is the meaning of Corolla with Venza engine? Does it mean the engine of the car was swapped? If yes, then what are we talking about? Oyinbo people go manufacture something according to careful specifications but we Nigerians with our anyhow sense will modify it. Of course, it will never be as originally specified. |

RichIgboBoy:Funny enough, it's really crazy now, if your pocket is not very deep to accommodate the high cost of fuel. You buy 10,000 fuel now and your car will still be flashing low fuel lights. You just feel sad, a lot of times now I just park car for house, calculate cost of using public transport to know which is more cost saving and end up going with public transport a lot of times. I can go out 3days without my motor. Me wey dey carry motor go next street to buy bread before. |

Lithiumite:You are wrong here. Toyota Sienna 1998-2000 had old 1MZ V6 3.0L engine without dual VVTi as is found in 1998-2001 Lexus ES300, 1997-2001 Toyota Camry V6. Then 2001-2003 Sienna/2000-2004 Avalon/2001-2003 Highlander/2002-2003 Lexus ES300 has new 1MZ-FE 3.0L V6 engines with dual VVTi. Then Toyota Sienna from 2011 has some variants with 2.7L I4 engine. Then 2004-2006 Toyota Sienna has 3MZ-FE with 3.3L V6 engines as with Lexus ES330, RX330 and 2004-2007 Toyota Highlander. 2007 and above Toyota Sienna V6 models have 2GR-FE Engines. |
