Why not? I wrote here last year of someone that wanted to go do masters at 60+. He wanted to cash out his pension (due for retirement) from a state education ministry.

Yes!

Age is no barrier to education. You’re still very young at 32. People get degrees late in their 60s and 70s. In 30 years from now you’ll be 62. That’s how young you are. Know the requirements of the country you want to get into, the requirements for a student visa, then the university. Do not, I repeat, do not give your money to ANYONE who says they can help you. You will get scammed. The internet is free, research research research. Once you get admission, look for grants and scholarships that can help you cushion your expenses. Ensure you’re studying a degree in the STEM field otherwise employment will be difficult. As soon as you get admitted begin to look for companies that sponsor work visas for international students. Do not wait until your final year. Calculate the amount you will need for the 4 years you’ll spend in school, feeding and accommodation. Above all else, work hard when you get there like you’ve never worked before. Begin to network with the HR of your prospective company you’re interested in. LinkedIn is the best for this. Build your resume and try to get as many internships as possible. Partake in community service etc.

Uni kids are usually from 18, minimum 17 in most Western countries.

At 32, he has a goal, not to do teenage stuff with oyinbo kids. He will be too busy doing part-time work anyway.

Over 80% of immigrants who study abroad are mature students, above 21. We have seen it all.

Immigrants do cleaning and other menial jobs in their 20s or 30s to fund their healthcare and IT courses.

You may not able to finance your Degree program abroad with huge yearly payments of fees for three years.

Get a degree in Nigeria and pursue Masters abroad !

Cook a CV which shows you have been working since and include it in your application to the school.

Be ready to say a few things around this ‘job’ when asked or picked, randomly, by the embassy you are going.

The ‘job years’ will cover up for the gap in your year of graduation and now.

You could choose an NGO you know well as your employer where you would get employment letter and other documents when asked.

For me I want to study Law, I have graduated from the University from a science discipline with science related WAEC result (Although, I have CRK, Economics, English in that result). Who knows if I can go ahead for direct entry with this result or if I should write another WAEC with literature and Government in it?

This means future Nigerians who want to study abroad for their bachelors either have the brains to win highly competitive scholarships or have wealthy parents. David Oyedepo don get future customers because Ghana is too expensive, ditto South Africa. Although, better returns and higher quality in South Africa.

For bachelors? No. For graduate degrees? Yes.

32 is too old to commence university education in the abroad. This is aside from the costs involved.

For bachelors? That is still old. I was the oldest among my lab mates in an elite Japanese university even though I was the youngest among my secondary and university mates (Nigeria). I am not even 30.
