How can one apply for the scholarship?

It’s easy to say baba!

To you, going abroad is like making it in life..

a 32 year old can definitely school, but I am simply telling the guy as it is.

He will definitely face some psychological pressure, it depends on how he handles it. So it’s better he knows everything at hand before he makes that move.

The cultural shock is there too. He has spent all his life in Nigeria and moving to a new culture to start life all over again, it’s tough!

And the country he goes matters too, probably some countries in Europe might help a bit, but I won’t advise countries like UK, and the Americas for that kind of journey

you will NEED a good explanation for your study gap
(this shouldn't be too hard to provide, there are certain things you can say and put as reason for your study gap)

32 is practically a youth!

Most kids abroad don't have the desire to keep schooling beyond High school (check Canada, UK and U.S.A yearly admissions).

Cook a CV which shows you have been working since and include it in your application to the school.

Be ready to say a few things around this ‘job’ when asked or picked, randomly, by the embassy you are going.

The ‘job years’ will cover up for the gap in your year of graduation and now.

You could choose an NGO you know well as your employer where you would get employment letter and other documents when asked.

At 36, I applied to school in Canada and got it all sorted out with less effort. I was changing careers and wanted to get classroom learning to buttress it.

I don’t think there is any age limit to going to tertiary schools. What is usually important it qualifying for the program and course of study.

A strict school may not accept a student wanting to study nursing but has credentials as a long term serving journalist. That describes a huge career change, the onus is on the applicant to describe in their motivation letter why it is important to them and what the benefit would be to you or others.

There are UK,Canada ,USA and Shengen Countries.

So how is this an issue. A lot of people went to school abroad close to 40 sef, we had classmates we are old enough to father and we also had ones that are old enough to be our uncle. Your focus abroad is not the age of ur classmate.

Yes...Sure.
But not in China and Hong Kong. Their age limit for Undergraduate Admission is 30 for 95% of their Higher institutions.
But it never too late even at 50

This question funny and am sorry to say almost annoying , what have age got to do with it? If u have the financial muscles and ready to read who is going to bother about ur age in seeking for academic opportunities even in Nigeria , he knows age is the least of his problems he is looking for some kind of validation

You are never too old to go to the university for studies. In fact, you should not consider yourself to be old at 32. You are still in your prime. In developed countries such as Britain, education is a lifelong process. I did my postgraduate in the UK at 34 years after having all my children and with a good degree from Nigeria. So you are good to go.

It seems all the scholarships are directed towards PhD candidates. Highest I have seen for non doctoral degrees is application waiver and a grant of maybe $3,000-$5,000.
That's what I've seen so far for USA.

For me I want to study Law, I have graduated from the University from a science discipline with science related WAEC result (Although, I have CRK, Economics, English in that result). Who knows if I can go ahead for direct entry with this result or if I should write another WAEC with literature and Government in it?

I'm not sure what you would be going to do in a University at such advanced age, especially if you don't even have a bachelors degree yet but you're free do whatever you want with your money. The older aged folks that I've encountered often already had degrees but were looking for either field change or just to satiate interest.

You don't actually need to explain anything, as long as you can pass the exams(S.A.T, A.C.T, G.R.E and such likes) you're good to go, the worst case scenario would be to start from some community college and move up to a 4-year university afterwards. The trouble here is that 32 years old and not even a bachelors degree is usually indicative of something, unless the reason is economics(which is very unlikely in this case, afterall, if he was able to get the money to set-up his "japa" then he would certainly have had the money to go to a Nigeria university).
