NYSC will have you tasting food from different cultures. I think that's one positive aspect of NYSC.

My Igbo roomie prepared it. I like the taste but it's a bit dry though. It's more of a snack than a meal.

7/10.

Nonsense Rating

That shii is plain cassava and nothing more

You think the addition of palm oil and cow skin would add any nutritional value to it?

Didn't bother tasting it the day I heard it's made of tasteless cassava....later una go complain about Diabetes

Spits undecided

The food looks more like jollof rice and beans.

Who prepares abacha with;
No utazi
No protein
No ugba?

Birds of a feather flock together.

The Abacha was prepared with limited ingredients. I think if prepared well, you'll surely give it a 9/10.

Abacha should be fried in red oil, have enough pepper, most important is SUFFICIENT ONIONS especially when cooked with beans.

Modified: Not necessarily fried though. But not boil-coooed that it become very soft

And so,Amala is made from rotten yams but nobody is complaining,I will take tasteless cassava over rotten yams everyday

I don’t get why Yoruba think they are connoisseurs in food issues in Nigeria when y’all food is literally just oil and pepper,na so one Yoruba idiot dey always form food critic and will never waste time in bad mouthing Igbo food, somebody that grew up eating amala and gbegiri or Yam and sugar,he won’t know anybetter
Many Igbo won’t touch amala with a 6 foot poll but you won’t see Igbo man come online to slander Yoruba shitty food
