When she went down the second time and Aggie Beever-Jones started warming up, the BBC World Service commentator said that the Arsenal defenders would be happy to see her go off.
Sure…. Mayra brings another kind of vibe upfront, the kind of comments I was reading on the live chat were just so funny 😂 😂😂

Some where like She’s playing like Messi, They need to check her if she’s truly a woman, how can she bully Arsenal defenders like that…

Meeen… I need a Ramirez in the SuperFalcons frontline I swear.

It would be difficult to reject offer from such a Club right now… The Korean-born businesswoman Michele Kang who owns Lyon and Washington Spirit is the owner of that club London City Lionesses Football Club and they recently made some top signings including Sweden Captain Asllani 🇸🇪, Sofia Jakobsson🇸🇪, Danielle Carter 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿, Charlène Meyong🇨🇲, Former PSG Coach etc…

Their main goal is to play in the WSL next season.., A very good move for Imuran considering the Pay and room to grow as well…
I was even referring to the french club Reims. Remember we both noticed earlier it wasn't listed as her club for the u20 tournament, then Demehin also left. Won't be surprised if that's the case for Flourish too.

German-born defender of Nigerian descent Victoria Ezebinyuo has confirmed that she's open to representing Nigeria at international level.

Born twenty-two years ago to a Nigerian father and German mother, she currently plies her trade with SC Freiburg.

Ezebinyuo who is a youth product of SC Freiburg, was a member of Germany U-17s squad that clinched the 2019 UEFA U-17 Women's Euros, playing three games for her country of birth against England, Austria and Portugal in that tournament held in Bulgaria.

Nonetheless, she qualifies to feature for Nigeria's senior national team, the Super Falcons, through her Nigerian dad, and has kept the door open for any opportunity in that regard.

Acknowledging the blend of youth and experience in the current national team set-up, Ezebinyuo stated that she is very much open to acquiring a Nigerian passport in order to don Nigeria's coveted green and white jersey.

"I would be interested in obtaining a second citizenship so that I can play for the Nigerian national team," she told allnigeriasoccer.com.

Having affirmed her intentions, the player also went on to disclose that there hasn't been any contact with the Nigeria Football Federation or with the team's handlers regarding the modalities that would facilitate a potential call-up.

Temwa Chawinga has scored a rocket to break Sam Kerr's record and become the highest goal scorer in a season in NWSL history. She's scored 19 goals this season.

Men! This girl is fast becoming worse each day.
Elementary, mediocre mistakes. Not only that, she is clearly overweight.
Time to start grooming someone else.

Anyone who has observed the last few months will acknowledge the decline in Chi's game and it's sad to watch really. I however will give her some grace cause I'm not close enough to opine on what could be wrong. Hopefully things change soon fast.

While I may speak on it in generic sense (rarely) There's a reason I will also not comment her weight specifically. Women deal with things what we as men may never really understand. You submission unfairly assumes the gain in weight is a result of lack of discipline. While that may be tried it isn't always the case. Sometimes it is hormonal with the woman having very little control over it. I witnessed one recently and I couldn't believe my eyes.

I said all of that to say we should give her some grace and sincerely hope that things get better for her. If it is something within her control, hopefully she works on it.
Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by AkinDS: 4:07pm On Oct 13, 2024
I never assumed that her 'weight gain' was a function of her discipline (or lack thereof). Her weight gain might be hormonal related. That notwithstanding, the weight gain is pretty obvious and has made her reflexive responses slow.
My assertion is that Nigeria, as a matter of urgency, needs to actively and immediately start grooming new goalkeepers. This needs to be done post haste!!

Maybe I should have said it came across as that. I agree we need to urgently search for a competent backup. Sadly our FA doesn't think so with the way they have handled the age grade teams.

The Day this Local League Coaches that holds National team age grade head coaching positions decides to really look into the goalkeeping area more then it might get better..

I still haven’t get past the nonsense Danjuma did at the U20 World Cup..!

Tochukwu Oluehi is on the verge of retirement, we only have Nnadozie and we think it’s really safe… That’s a big lie. If Nnadozie doesn’t get the Competition in that position we would suffer it..

Imagine in the National team no good enough back up apart from a 37yrs plus lady. At Club level the back up goalies there too are still the same… She simply needs competition. Her school girl errors In recent games have been costly.

I think the Coaches should just try out the likes of foreign born goalkeepers like Medinat Lawal 🇺🇸, Comfort Erhabor 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 and the best we can lay hands on in the league right now…

Chiamaka Nnadozie should go nowhere. She has made some mistake but she will bounce back.
Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by AkinDS: 1:45pm On Oct 15, 2024
The recurring frequency of such mistakes, and the fact that they are quite elementary is a significant issue, especially from someone rated as one of the better keepers in the world.
You cannot continue to hope that she will 'bounce back', without taking active steps to ensure that the country has backup plans in place. What if she doesn't? Then what?

No one is saying she should go anywhere or should leave her First choice position at both Club & Country level…

Our point is we need a good Young hand/backup who can stand up to the billing when she isn’t available or in her A games…

Imagine Mary Earps of England was benched in few games and England media and fans started ranting that she has lost her first choice position, whereas it was PSG who are suffering from poor signings and average Coach..

England have 5 very good goalkeepers that can be 1st choice at any point..

1• Mary Earps 31yrs (PSG W) 🇫🇷
2• Hannah Hampton 23yrs (Chelsea W) 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿
3• Ellie Roebuck 25yrs (Barcelona W) 🇪🇸
4• Anna Moorhouse 29yrs ( Orlando Pride) 🇺🇸
5• Khiara Keating 20yrs (Manchester City) 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

This is what we want, in as much as she would bounce back we need other Options that we can also rely on..

Didn’t you guys enjoy the era of Precious Dede, Tochukwu Oluehi and Alaba Jonathan as our top 3 goalkeepers especially from 2010 —2016 apart from Dede and Oluehi who have been there as our reliable two goalkeepers since 2006.

England, USA, Spain, Germany, Sweden and Canada are the very top Countries I know won’t suffer from goalkeepers issues because they have the Options readily available…

Tochukwu Oluehi Is 37+

Nobody is stopping anybody from getting a back up plan.

How on earth am I supposed to agree that a keeper who has maintained such a high level for the most of her career will remain at the level she's at while in a slumphuh That's not even a discussion

Harmony scored 13 of this team's 25 goals in the Qualifiers. She is one of the several pearls in this team to keep keen eyes on without doubt.

I hope for a fine campaign from Bankole's girls. Hopefully they exceed the 3rd place finish at the last edition.

Are you sure coach Madugu and NFF will want any more foreign borns in Super Falcons with their recent policy of grooming homebase players?

Even if they qualify from that group which I know is very possible, they should be wary of who they meet in the quarter finals especially teams from Group B with the likes of Spain and Brazil.

Well, let's first scale through the group stage

If the Malawi FA are serious they can build their team around this two Sisters, and some other names that have come up even though the Squad depth won’t be there… Why not start like Zambians that depends mainly on Banda & Kundananji first.
Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by TheSuperNerd(m): 11:33am On Oct 16, 2024
Very true. The lack of international football exploits for Temwa affects her badly. Banda has that advantage with Zambia and her showings at the Olympics alongside her run of form with Orlando Pride in the NWSL.

Banda is not being judged by her national team stint too. She achieved next to nothing with Zambia. Her recognition is based in what she's doing in the NWSL right now. Nothing has changed contribution wise when you consider what Banda brings to the Zambian national team, what changed however is that she moved to the USA and is Top 5 in scoring with her team leading the league.

It's the same way Oshoala dominated Africa. Not necessarily what she was doing with the national team, some would even argue she hasn't done much in the Nigerian jersey the last few years. She however always got CAF and Balon d'Or consideration because of her stats with Barcelona

They are not serious people. They have the most potent attack in African women's football, but will do next to nothing to take advantage of it. Funny thing is that have a small window (5 years in my opinion) to exploit this. if they don't, they go back to being irrelevant as far as women's football is concerned.

The thing still Dey pain me say she miss the World Cup… Like a raw DM that could have done a great and better job than anyone else in the team..

This also limited Yina Adoo performance because she was never a DM but a Creative Midfielder that love to pass and attack more.
