Hello experts in the house. I have a few questions with respect to processing admissions/visa. 1.) Please is there any consequences of not having my middle name on my international passport. Several other documents carry it but not all. 2.) Also, Birth certificate carries "Olusola"..... All other documents carry Olushola. Is this an issue? How do I resolve it? 3.) How do I get the certificate issued by NPC. I heard the conditions are a little different for people above 30 years of age. Kindly advise. |

Good afternoon, everyone It appears the Uk visa application centre may transition from TLS Contact to VFS Global from October 15, 2024 as reported on Nairametrics. https://nairametrics.com/2024/10/14/major-changes-ahead-for-uk-visa-application-centres-worldwide/ |

Good evening everyone, I guess nobody has an idea regarding this my question. Please I want to ask this question on behalf of a friend. The question goes thus, I work as a chef using seaman's book and ID card to enter into the UK for my contracts and return back to Nigeria after every 6 month, this my last contract, I opted for local leave to visit my friend in the UK who sent the documents requested from my place of work and my local leave of 2 weeks was granted, so I spent the 2 weeks with my friend in the UK and I returned back to Nigeria according to stipulated time for my local leave. So now, I want to apply for UK visit visa, the same person I spent my local leave with will be sending me invitation and documents to accompany the invitation. So do you think I can apply for long term visit visa of 2/more years visit visa since I've been entering into the UK though not with visa but documents that permit me to enter into the UK to work on the ship. Because most of my contract is always 6 months and if I apply for 6 months, the visa would have expired before my contract finished. Thanks in advance for answers |

I'm not an agent. And what is the problem if I ask questions on any platform. If you can't answer someone's questions, do well to ignore. I respect people alot and I can be anywhere to ask question, don't let that be an issue. You can't start insinuating due to your own speculation and if I may ask, are you on other platforms to observe others. Stop being Pessimistic and ignore if you can't answer my question please. If I am an agent, so I will come here and ask for how to order gcms note for free. 😂. And to you, if someone ask a question from you and you have no clue about it, then you have a platform that can help them to get answers and you told them about it but they told you to help them ask since you are already on the platform, will you help them or not. When you see my question anywhere, please close your eyes, funny humans. You people need a proper mindset that is Optimists. It is well with you seriously. annabee: |

For a start i do no think the advice given by @giselle meant he was talking down on anyone, it was just a caution. Now to answer your question, Your colleague should be very careful of his/her actions as the time line of events might lead the HO case worker to believe the divorced marriage was a sham marriage on the balance of probability which translates into falsehood for an entry permit. As a result, your colleague's problem will not just be a question of whether or not he/she can bring in the new spouse but instead a likelihood of cancellation and curtailment of entry permit under S.24 of Immigration and Asylum act of 1999 for the 2 parties involved in the divorce. Note that marriages of convenience, are for the purposes of immigration, synonymous with sham marriages. (NB- I'm not making any accusation or implying the previous or current marriage is one) If however, there is substance and establish-able facts to the events of divorce and re-marriage then there shouldn't be a problem although there will still be a HO investigation whether now or at your colleague's subsequent renewal as the threshold would have been triggered. So he/she should weigh their options well. Bacteria8: |

Segun889:Unfortunately this poster and many others committed sham marriages to get into the UK via the student route and this is why they are triggered. Another group, falsified information to bring in their cousins, neighbours, househelps etc as their children. It is an unfortunate situation but everyone knows including the poster and the home office has caught up and is clamping down on all and sundry. |

Transitioning Service Providers Reports provide that in some regions, the current provider, TLScontact, will change to VFS Global. This means applicants may start their visa application with TLScontact and finish it with VFS Global. It is stated that the regions affected by this change include Africa, Europe, Middle East and Central Asia davodyguy: |

Move on and heal pls ❤️ I don't know if this info will help your healing process, but yes my colleague was a victim of domestic violence and emotional abuse which UK Police already got involved before, and has being separated from the husband since January while pursuing the legal divorce. Now, pls move on and heal up from whatever hunts and triggers you bro/sis. Adios. |

@giselle237, Greetings. Here's my circumstance, and I need your advice. 1. I'm doing my PhD in Nigeria. I want to go to the UK for research in a research centre that's focused on my area of PhD programme. The research programme enable me to work with my research mentor, access library of a partner university of the centre, and collaborate with other scholars working in same area of research. I have gotten admission into the centre. The research will last for 18 months. It's a non-taught programme. The major part of the 18 months will be virtual. I'm required to have residency in the UK for 7 weeks at the beginning of the research. The centre has sent me all the letters (admission letter and letter addressed to the UK High Commission introducing me and explaining the programme). They gave me scholarship too. I will cover the remaining fees. £6000 (covering research fees, residency fees, accommodation, food, and flight tickets). 2. I earn approximately 100k monthly, but I'm not paid through the bank. I'm given cash while I assign payment voucher for them. I'm a pastor in a rural community. How do I print my account statement since my salary doesn't reflect in it? Should I submit the payslips from the church instead? 3. One of my members want to sponsor the visit for the research. He's also the one helping me with my PhD programme. We are not related. He's just a generous member. What documents should he provide? 4. I'm married with 4 kids. My wife is studying her second degree in Nigeria. 5. My General Overseer is in support of the academic visit. Would he write letter to that effect? Thank you. |

Hi guys! I did not pay for courier onsite but I now want to courier. However the TLScontact email I was given is refunds.mea@tlscontact.com. The emails I have sent to this address have all been turned down by postmaster even when I sent the mails from the account that made the application. Please does anyone know the way forward. I have made all courier payments and now I feel stuck. Thank you!🙏 |
| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by giselle237: 4:51pm On Oct 17, 2024 |
@thepathway The ECO would be looking greatly into your circumstances to evaluate risks versus benefits in granting you the visa. It doesn’t help that you are only needed for 7 weeks face to face out of a couple of years programme which mainly would be covered online. I am also worried that you are not able to show any funds personally to cover your trip. There is a question on the visa form as to why a sponsor will be covering your trip. The costs for the program alone is 6000 pounds, by the time you add living expenses and feeding and miscellaneous for those 7 weeks it would almost double this figure. The ECO will be wondering why a random stronger is willing to foot such bills. Also keep in mind that the ECO Would be mindful that should anything happen to the sponsor you would be left stranded and would recourse to public funds and or probably seek asylum. Every visitor is seen as an intending illegal immigrant so it doesn’t help much when one’s circumstances are this way. So put yourself in the shoes of the ECO and see if you could convince yourself first, if yes, then do apply. All the best. |

Hello everyone, please I need advice. I was denied a uk tourist visa earlier this year due to financial reasons (I had a large deposit, which I explained: it was payment of performance bonus for last year. But I guess the ECO still wasn’t comfortable with it). Now, I have to still apply again, this time sponsored by my company for a business trip. All my documents are ready, however for the letter explaining the denial, how do I explain the transaction into my account if the month it occurred (January) is not covered in my new six month bank statement (April to October). Do I just narrate the transaction in the letter, or? Please I’ll appreciate any guidance I can get as my biometric is next week. Thank you. |

Good day, Please my sister is inviting me to the UK, can I download the invitation Letter on line or she has to send it down to Nigeria? Thanks |
| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Segun889: 6:52pm On Oct 17, 2024 |
Hi, whilst i'm not an immigration lawyer who will offer you a better advice, there are just some key points worth noting here. Firstly, according to a comment you made, that they have been separated since January but only recently legally divorced ( not sure what month). The subject matter remains; 1. Was the HO informed of the separation as stipulated on PBS dependant entry permit policy? If not, your colleague must be able to address when the time comes. 2. Is there evidence of travels to Nigeria (not just for the wedding) to establish "genuine relationship" which culminated into a marriage in 6months or thereabout and/or a month after a legal divorce. 3. If the answer to question 1 is NO, HO wasn't informed then it might be adjudicated as a breech of her dependant permit resulting in cancellation and curtailment. Alternatively, there was a substantial investigation by the Police, then there might be grounds for consideration on leniency which will be individually determined but not guaranteed. So, the question about whether 6 months is enough, is very subjective and i can't provide a direct answer. What i can tell you is there shouldn't be too much worry if all the marriages and divorce were genuine but most assuredly is there will be an unannounced HO investigation. I hope the information above helps in one way or the other. Bacteria8: |
| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Segun889: 6:57pm On Oct 17, 2024 |
That would be a great shame if its the case as their cases will trigger investigations by the HO resulting in cancellation and curtailment whether now or in future when they are renewing their papers. The home office has access beyond what they normally think of including requesting medical record info from their doctors, employers, schools etc. I am recently aware of a case that of a revocation of ILR following secondary to a marriage of convenience for immigration purposes after 6years. The both families I'm told have are now facing deportation. giselle237: |
| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Segun889: 7:05pm On Oct 17, 2024 |
I think you just have to state the denial and the reason. Then explain reasons why the large deposits were made. If you have a document to also evidence this large deposit ( e.g Performance letter from your work place stating the bonus), you can attach it as well. Veefid: |
