I'm not sorry but bameyi is like 40 years old trying hack in U20 football he has nothing to offer Nigeria football. The whole team is filled with over aged players ....our youth football is now poverty alleviation scheme

Man you see why I’m getting frustrated with you. When did I say or imply all this? Ehn?

You keep arguing on things I never said, meant or alluded to at all and by doing that you distort the whole point. I’ve been an MFS player for almost 8 years. Do you think I do not know how flight plans work? Let me break down my points into simple sentence lines

Libya wants to fly to Uyo. They inform NFF

Libyan FA asks their logistics team to arrange the travel.

NFF arranges an Uyo delegation.

Somebody at this point is supposed to sort out issues regarding special clearance since Uyo ordinarily cannot receive direct foreign flights.

Libya is most likely not aware of this fact. Even if they had a team come before, if they aren’t the ones who sorted it earlier, they may not be be aware.

The flight team requests clearance (most likely through a third party) it comes back denied.

NFF were not aware of the denial.

Libya at this point thinks there’s foul play.

Libya is advised to fly to PH instead so the flight is filed to PH.

Since NFF are not aware of the change in plan, they continue with Uyo plans.

Libya lands in PH and cannot find NFF delegation. At this point they’ve fully convinced themselves that it’s all on purpose.

NFF suddenly are surprised to hear that the Libyans are in Port harcourt and scramble to get there.

Libyans are thoroughly pissed as it takes NFF hours to relocate everything to PH. They swear to deal with us.

Now whose fault is it? It boils down to who is actually responsible for making sure foreign team flights can land in Uyo.

I don’t think it’s the Libyans cause I don’t see how Libyans would be the ones communicating with our federal agencies. They only know one contact: NFF

Now note that the minister of sports mentioned that NFF liaises with th NCAA for landing clearance. So did they ensure that clearance was obtained in this case?
Bro when a flight is on air, how long does it take to divert it's landing point if they were on air bound for PH how long will it take to call whatever tower to divert. The Libyans says it cost nothing than an "order from above call" to divert a plane even almost landing in Bengazi to AlAlqad. Do we still think there is no deliberate foul play on our side. There's always going to be contingency. Let's say there is a heavy storm while a plane is about to land in Ph will they not have easily looked for another nearest port to land. Why did we let them go to PH instead of initiating the flight to divert to uyo

The north always think that everything is done like local politics in Nigeria. There are areas with no compromises, eg sports, tech, etc. Pure competence... but here we are, shoddy preparation, shoddy coach, shoddy selection, shoddy football...up north...

There are really levels in mediocrity, Laddan Bosso was better than this one....I started streaming the match, hoping to find usual Nigerian youth football, full of zeal, skill and blitz but alas, nerve renching, stomach upsetting, eye dulling football... Vanuatu could play better

Because they’re likely the ones who should have ensured that there’s clearance.

Although Libya is also at fault for not telling NFF about the denied clearance maybe thinking that NFF was doing it on purpose which I don’t believe to be the case. The permit was denied before they left Libya.
Exactly. I think you are right here. They must have felt it was a deliberate sabotage by the Nigerian authority to deny them access to uyo.

A team of "somebody's boy"
E fit be ex footballer or Nff exec/board member or one commissioner of sports here and there. And power don change hands wella. Or returning favors by buying slots ahead of when their schedule comes for qualifying.
Until panic mode hits then everyone runs to the foreign borns and the locals begin to gnash fire and brimstone. Same old same old. Cognitive Dissonance plenty

Unfortunately we will have to make do with this under Gusau leadership

If not for AE that stepped up the super eagles would've been like this too

Save for the foreign born players recruited by Rohr and one or two from Pasiero how many have them been able to recruithuh
Its not about Gusau bro... When was the last time we had a decent u20?

🗞 Al-Kass, a Saudi Arabian media outfit, has revealed CAF's verdict on the Libya-Nigeria incident.

According to the media outfit, Nigeria will be awarded 3 points & 3 goals. For breaching CAF's statutes, Libya will be banned from playing at home for 3 matches, including a fine

Pinnick started with that mediocre former warri wolves coach and it has continued since then

I was expecting Gusau to apply the beyond limit and sporting lagos template in setting up a good under 20 team

Employ a competent coach like the Enugu or remo stars coach

That will be better

Libya is a minosmar in football and Considering the publicity the unfair treatment of Nigeria team got I suspect this too.

Libya messed up they should have reported us first if truly we treated them badly instead of retaliating

I do not think the Libyan football federation deliberately did this, Libya is politically volatile atm. I sincerely think it's a case of sabotage by state actors.

If true, then the punishment ought to be harsher. This whole debacle has tarnished CAF's reputation

have you read the statement from their federation? people that in their statement said our experience is not up to the 'bad' experience they experienced in Nigeria . Yeah they did this. They didn't even deny it neither did they put the blame on a parallel govt for our experience. They owned their action

Thats it. The coach is number 1 - We have many young coaches scattered all around the place. Another thing is allow him to do his job.

No disrespect to Bameyi, Daga and Nwosu the goalkeeper - the moment i saw them i lost the little interest i had. Leave this team for the talented kids out there in the academy and not some bro dominating the team in the name of they are within the age bracket.

I understand your point, Its shocking to say the least, I mean his appointment. NFF knew this tournament is on the calendar - nothing bad in having a coach since last year but we are used to the fire brigade approach.

Tournament was fast approaching and what NFF did/think is the right thing was to appoint Zubair who won the FA cup with some guys who are "younger" to what we used to see in our league, since they knew we are getting tired of their "Residential Coach"

My own is why do they always wanna beat the referee after any decision.. See how they swarmed at her after a penalty call.

Also at the last clip, after blowing final whistle, it's even Rabiu Ali who was closer to the ref trying to shield her from Rangers players.

Make them dey calm down.
that penalty call was pure robbery…nobody touched musa

One of either the beyond limit coach or sporting lagos under 19 coach was supposed to be the our under 20 team coach or recruit both coaches to manage the under 20.

Gusau is playing sectionalism with under 20 coach appointment and it will constantly backfire
