abdultangz:Your dad should address the indicated reasons given in the letter. Simply write a cover letter. It is either he has more than one wife or he has divorced and remarried a different one between 2014 and now. A cover letter is required to state which is the case. Also, I know the ECOs sometimes get the figures wrong, but if these given here are correct and your dad truly stated that he earns 3.5m p.a. and wishes to spend 50 m on a business trip being funded by his spouse, you can see how this looks fantastic. Was it that his spouse has a bank statement showing that amount and she indicated that that is what is available to her for her trip? Check the submitted application, verify those figures and make them look realistic. It is possible that your dad might have meant to say that he only draws out x amount from his business annually while its turnover is in multiples justifying the business trip, for instance. |

onile1975:My monthly income isn’t fixed. I am a freelancer. I do affiliate marketing for real estate companies and get paid a commission when I close a deal. So it is not fixed. But for the 6months statement I submitted, I had inflow of about 14M. Living expenses per month is 300,000. But note that I filled that I am dependent on my husband even though I earn something for myself because I am primarily a stay-at-home mother and I do the affiliate marketing business as a side thing. And my husbands statement was buoyant enough to proof this and there were transfers on his statement proofing that he actually sends money to me as monthly allowance. So I don’t think they really bothered about my own financial situation. |

abdultangz:The problem is not his income nor how much he wishes to spend as all that we’re seen in his statement. The problem is the declaration as maybe he didn’t include the previous marital divorce certificate and also pictures of him and his new spouse to that regards. It’s not a big deal and thank God UK visa doesn’t take time like Canada own. He should simply reapply, include divorce certificate with his previous wife and also the new declaration, some lovey dovey pictures with his new wife and the family in happy and merriment moods and back it up with a self Attestation letter explaining more on that simple. That’s just it and he’s good to go. After submission and biometric , he does be getting his visa within 10days. |
| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by GodGraceOnly: 9:19am On Oct 21, 2024 |
Cyberknight:It’s Billions not millions. N3.5B. His statement ain’t a problem as it wasn’t indicated as any issue. The issue is just that he needs to include his previous divorce certificate to his ex. Wife and also the new declaration Nothing else. |
| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Cashmadam: 9:21am On Oct 21, 2024 |
abdultangz:First, I noted a lot of figures were thrown around in your Dad's application. It is not advisable to say you want to spend N50Million on a 7 day trip - even if you can actually afford it. Also, did your Dad provide proof of his over N3Billion annual income? Does he really earn that much per annum or he quoted his company's annual turnover (which is very different from income) Then, the issue of his wife added to the problems. Finally, check and confirm if he had any need for medical attention in the past while he was in the UK. Also, if he stayed in the UK for a long time at a stretch... He may reapply and address the issues raised in the refusal. |
| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Cyberknight: 9:23am On Oct 21, 2024 |
GodGraceOnly:Noted. I misread that. This is probably the annual turnover for his company, I presume. Best he simply indicates how much he actually pays himself from that company. |

onile1975:1. No. That’s because of the nature of my business/work. Like I mentioned, I do affiliate marketing not buying and selling. So I did not see the point paying myself again from commissions received. So I just made expenses directly from my account. 2. Yes. 5,950,000 for me and 5,950,000 for my husband. 5,500,000 for each child. In NGN. For 3 weeks visit. Return Flight fee, accommodation, feeding, transportation and tickets for sight seeing inclusive. 3. Yes 4. For each week, we stated where we plan to stay, the cost of the place, how much we would spend on food, transportation, sightseeing and shopping. We also detailed our activities for each week. |

chrisifeanyi:Na wa. There is 2 years post study visa for msc and phd but only msc research and phd can bring in dependents. Public primary/secondary schools are free for kids. University tuition is billed differently. If you are a student I do not think you can afford private primary or secondary school tuition in thousands of pounds monthly so yeah all this information is actually available on the internet. Probability of getting a job to sponsor your work visa is unknown. Different people, different qualifications, different skills and so will encounter different challenges and situations. |

@cashmadam God will bless u for been there for me all the time Pls I want to ask you a question concerning my wife income which was #65,000 in her last refused application and you advise that we should make it #300,000 in the next application. My question is can I start paying her #255,000 as monthly allowance to boost her income to #300,000 by sending it from my own account to her salary account? 2) Hope this will not cause red flag because I did not include this monthly allowance in the previous application? |
| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by giselle237: 7:04am On Oct 22, 2024 |
onile1975:This application is most likely to be refused. Everything looks forced and with previous refusals already + zero travel history, no ECO would take such chances of granting this visa as this tallies with one with no strong compelling ties/one who would recourse to public funds is given the visa. If you were also seen as a worthy sponsor during the last application, her income might have mattered less but no you were not seen in that light .It is a simple no until circumstances change——> 200-250k disposable income all new information + no verifiable employment —-> no—-> and all the signs are clearly here. |

| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Cashmadam: 10:10am On Oct 22, 2024 |
onile1975:God bless you too. I honestly can't recall my exact words. However, in boosting her income, it has to be seen to be a long standing and sustainable source of income from you. Otherwise, it becomes account padding.. If you pay money into her account, it might and it might not fly. Nobody can really predict to be honest. The main issue is her personal economic circumstance. The visa officer will ask - if this person's husband stops giving her money, can she survive on her own? Will she have her own money to sustain herself in the UK and not depend on public funds? That is the main question you need to answer. From my perspective, the honest answer is NO. Your wife simply cannot afford to travel to the UK on her income. That is the summary. However, if you want to try the method of paying money into her account for a few months before you reapply, then please try. Life is a risk and I never say never. She either gets the visa by divine intervention or she doesn't. I believe in miracles and they have been known to happen. Decide if you want to take another risk by reapplying. Good luck! |

Hi all, please I need some guidance, I am currently in the uk and inviting my mom over for my graduation. My moms home ties is she has other children in Nigeria, she jointly owns a property with my dad and cares for my dad as my dad is wheel chair bound as a result of stroke and vascular dementia, ( although I am unable to secure a medical report to this effect - hospital refused to give because his diagnosis was since 2007 ). Also, I have to proof relationship with my mom, but I do not have an official birth certificate. I have various pictures with my mom and previously shared the same last name with her before I changed my name due to marriage. Please, would this pictures be enough to show prof of relationship ? What other documents can I use to show proof of relationship? My parents do not have a marriage certificate as they got married traditionally 50yrs ago, what can I use to proof that my mom has a husband she’s coming back to? And also, would pictures of my mom and dad in his present condition (which by the way looks very sick in a wheelchair) be enough to show home ties instead of medical report? Please, any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks . |
