Looking back at that 4th goal against Ecuador, the referee could have ruled it out for offside because one of our players was literally 3ft in front of the goalkeeper. But I guess the fact that she moved away, not towards, the ball was the reason why the goal stood. |

By the end of the group stage, the Flamingoes may end up with 100+ attempts on goal, and 40+ attempts on target 😁 Moreover, I think Chidi should start Wednesday’s game to give her an opportunity to rack a potential easy hat trick. But Moshood could be rested because she is already on a yellow. |

daveP:Chidi, Moshood, Faridat all got their ball striking on point. Afolabi should take a cue from them and choose power sometimes over placing curlers. Ekezie. I hope the US don't exploit her so much in the Quarters. As for Chidi, so glad she was even crowned Player of the match.

BascoVanVeli:We won yesterday so it didn't matter but on the day it matters, I pray the God of football favour us. I counted like 3 blatant penalty that we were denied in the first half. The incidences were not even reviewed. But the ref had no issue spending minutes watching replays of incidences that were not decisive. One thing I'm sure of is that Dominican republic or any other American country would have been awarded at least three penalties in the first half alone assuming reverse was the case. |

Kudos to the girls. My fear now is for them not to get carried away. I believe in their abilities but on the day the going gets tough, I hope they will be mentally ready. |

🔍BlackQueens🇬🇭 Ghana WNT Coach Nora Häuptle made her way to France over the weekend to observe Mia Irene Gyau play in the French Arkema Premiere League game between Reims and Nante at the Stade de Reims. Mia Irene Gyau was in full action for her side, Reims.

Deltamani:That is the major issue I have with indigenous coaches and why I prefer oyinbo coaches. It's the reason why the U-17, U-20 pipeline to the Super Eagles has dried up in recent years. If a northerner is coach of any of our male age grade teams, the team will comprise of majorly players from the north. If a southerner from the SW is coach, it'd be more of SW players. Ditto for coaches from the South East and South South The only reason this North/South player selection bias is not in the female teams is because there aren't many girls from the North playing football. Still, the female team coaches have other considerations that are not merit. Even the late Stephen Keshi despite winning the AFCON had integrity issues and imploded with his player selection to the World Cup. The only exception seems to be Augustine Eguavoen whose lists and selections is 90+ percent merit but even he also appears to be susceptible to external influence. |

TheSuperNerd:Notice as i never focus on our gk. I no wan talk. I sha love that she has ball playing abilities. Our test lies in the KO stages. It's always been. I hope Moshood truly rest the 3rd game. We need her for the KO. Afolabi better wake up. Her workrate is 10times her height anyway |

mostob:It was Coach Olowokeere’s job to call for a challenge with regard to those potential penalties. But I guess he didn’t want to be left with just one challenge.. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by mostob(m): 4:13pm On Oct 20, 2024 |
PDPGuy:Ok. Fair enough. However, the coach didn't need to challenge before the ref does his job properly. These penalty calls were blatant abd clear. We move sha |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by PDPGuy: 4:35pm On Oct 20, 2024 |
mostob:I get your point, but under the rules governing the VSR system being used at the tournament, only goals (or incidents leading to goals) and straight red cards trigger an automatic review by the referee. Anything else, such as penalty appeals, have to be challenged/petitioned by the concerned team.. |

Deltamani:Was there any need for Nnadozie, Demehin, Okeke and Ajibade?? These are seasoned pro and regular SuperFalcons players , if he really wanted to widen the roster as said, he would have gone for those not regular with the Falcons in terms of game time.. Regina Otu, Emmanuel Favour, Blessing Nkor, Rinsola Babajide, Maryam Ezenagu, Nicole Payne, Vivian Ikechukwu, Macleans Chinonyerem, Juliet Sunday, Yetunde Adeboyejo etc |

Well, that's what happens when dumb people are put in charge of something this impactful. Like you rightly pointed out, he could have invited the next tier of players (some of whom you named) with the intention of assessing their readiness to be a part of the 'A' Super Falcons. I mean, we recently discussed actively looking for a credible sub for Nnadozie. Wouldn't this have been an opportunity to get some of the young goalies in Europe? Instead, he chose to invite 'C' and below players who have NO hope of making the 'A' or 'B' team. Just plain dumb! Deltamani: |

Deltamani:Basco did you miss this?? When I said they didn’t even pick the best in the league, It seems you have been offline since. Again am still asking Which rebuilding process? Because Coach Randy Waldrum didn’t leave the team in a Bad State all that was needed was to scout in one or two players to fill some spots instead they’re doing 1 step forward & 3 step backward |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Deltamani: 10:20am On Oct 21, 2024 |
BascoVanVeli:Edo queen captain Suliat Abideen, Emem Essien, Esther Inyang..! They picked their favorite that they want to market instead of the best in the League… 😢 |

isan:I’m not really happy with the way she’s talking since the World Cup dropping and all.. I hope this doesn’t speak against her Contribution as one of the best Midfielder to ever play for the SuperFalcons.. She should be fair with her judgement if she really want to speak.. |
