Afolabi for all her technicality really frustrates with her ball striking. It is trash. Seeing that she gets into good shooting positions often, she needs to improve on that.

Ifitezue has been both impressive with her pace and annoying with her final ball. Time and time again, she held the key to us scoring and fumbled it.

Animashaun showing her industriousness as usual bursting down that left from midfield but her end product is also a worry. Ramotalahi Kareem hasn't even had much to do upfront as she is either crowded out, blocked off when trying to pull the trigger or just unable to beat her markers. Her runs and positioning too havent been encouraging. She also needs to watch the offside trap being set by the Dominican defence led by their hardworking captain #8.

daveP:
This ambitious overshooting by these girls ehn. Animasahun is quickfeet but end product is slightly off edge, plus no body positioned well. Wassup with Moshood long ranges? Our wingers are doing well. Na that CF be issue. Afolabi still needs to learn shooting.
Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by TheSuperNerd(m): 12:59am On Oct 23, 2024
Ramotalahi and Ifitezue are clearly not on the level of these first choice striking monsters.

carbonado:
Chidi and Effiong greatly missed...
Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by TheSuperNerd(m): 1:02am On Oct 23, 2024
You see that Moshood. Damn, the girl is too elegant with that left foot. Technical, physical, good passing range, excellent ball striking, late runs into the box, covers lots of grounds, etc. She is a special MF talent. If she keeps this up, she is destined for the biggest sides In Women's Club football. Just too good.

daveP:
Even if both wingers do well, Kareem no sabi position too. If only Moshood can play false 9 right now. Cos these runs need to lead to goal. Blessing is beating her marker but see the options available afterwards too.

Yeah Kareem is not making runs ....
60th min max, if goal no come, i will reduce hopes for them being any threat to that USA backline. We've been wasteful. I guess the shooting instructions given by Olowookere is wack. See how it led to nonsensical ambition. Faridat especially.

Kareem better wake up. Winger dey run towards box, ya shifting towards edge of box. undecided
Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by TheSuperNerd(m): 1:04am On Oct 23, 2024
But abeg, Bankole should BLOODY REST HER THIS SECOND HALF. Pull her out before 65mins. The battle with USA is far more important abeg.

Very very frustrating from that #7 Ramotalahi Kareem. No way we won't be 2 or 3 goals up with Peace or Harmony in the lineup.

She's the package. If they even attempt to outmark het, Effiong switches on beast mode. She looks fatigued though. Moshood.

I'm seeing traces of Ohale in Adegoke. Noticed?

See where Kareem stay again for that beautiful through paas by Moshood undecided
Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by TheSuperNerd(m): 1:23am On Oct 23, 2024
Yeah, Adegoke got that swagger. Solid in duels, good on the ball. The most confident of our back 4.

See your coach...
Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by TheSuperNerd(m): 1:25am On Oct 23, 2024
The two striking monsters are coming in. Harmony should have started this game to rack up her goals but shaa... decision has been made.

So far, the stats and scores shows the summary of the tactical nous of a coach like Olowookere with such talents.

Even commentator dey enter us

Nothing to show so far with 13corners and 30 shots
Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by PDPGuy: 1:34am On Oct 23, 2024
The Flamingoes have now registered a whopping 37 attempts on target across all 3 group games 🤯
Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by TheSuperNerd(m): 1:41am On Oct 23, 2024
The commentator should stf. Praising haram ball like it is gold. The Dom team are also taking a lot of time restarting the game from every throwin and goalkick.

Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by TheSuperNerd(m): 1:50am On Oct 23, 2024
SHAKIRAT MOSHOOD #8 WILL DESTROY THE USA. Watch out for this girl!!! She is a weapon.

Having her, Chidi, Peace on the field at the bloody same time is triply lethal.

Rondon, Mercedes and co can carry their haram ball and win MVP of the match. Nonsense.

Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by BascoVanVeli(m): 1:53am On Oct 23, 2024
Dominican dey over do. That's not even close to a foul
Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by TheSuperNerd(m): 1:55am On Oct 23, 2024
These coaches are really abusing this privilege. That is the most silly foul review I have seen in this competition.

It's like watching Nigeria vs Libya all over again...I was praying for that goal because Dominican deserve nothing from the match
Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by PDPGuy: 1:59am On Oct 23, 2024
Thank goodness that teams are penalized for such ridiculous video reviews by losing another review opportunity
Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by daveP(m): 1:59am On Oct 23, 2024
Our wastefulness has made legends of Rondon and Mercedes. They'll go on to have beautiful football careers for how they held out tonight, thanks to foolish instructions by Coach.

Mercedes gets POTM. Well deserved.

I'll watch that Moshood goal before i drop what i feel about the execution.
Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by ThePresenceWtf: 2:00am On Oct 23, 2024
Feel for Dominican Republic, despite their Haram ball.... Their Captain/CB Mercedes is pretty good (She's already a full international) and their Goalkeeper, Rodon is pretty good too
Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by CornOak(m): 2:00am On Oct 23, 2024
That Afolabi girl is too sleek on the ball in the midfield. Hopefully she works on her shooting accuracy.

By the way, we need the shot power of Moshood in the current SE set-up. Good game overall.
