Money market fund carries low risk. It is equity fund and others that has high risk.
Remember that even your savings account doesn't have zero risk. Many lost their money to Heritage Bank. Only 5m and below will be paid to customers regardless of the amount he/she has in his/her account. In contrast, Stanbic IBTC money market fund has preserved customers principal and gave them average yield of about 15% per annum since it's inception in 1996.
