I got a property as a deed of gift and I didn't evaluate it with a surveyor and valuer. I thought about doing it but considered it not necessary after the surveyor had requested 250k as his service fee. I only submitted the signed document for the deed during my application. I think meeting the minimum financial requirements and documenting how the money was acquired is what is important to the VO. All other things are just additions. sternakin: |

You just spoke my mind now…you don’t necessarily need a valuation report, a signed deed of conveyance and possibly survey plan is okay…and you can just state the value of the property….as someone did to get approved. You’re just applying for study permit for Christ sake…and all they want is proof and your ability to express yourself well. #my take MarksmanD: |

If you are already in Canada as Temporary Resident (Student or Worker) or will soon be joining a spouse as a student or worker, then good news. The cut down of PR will favour those already in Canada as Temporary Resident. Canada Experience Class and Provincial Nominations for residents (in-country) will be prioritized for PR than out-country migrant.

Make all of us knee down go beg Canada. Say make dem forgive us our trespasses. All these policies never too much like this? |

Make Africa try build their continent…Australia go soon start their own…look at Sweden that offered 50k$ to any immigrant willing to leave. All these policies will led to increased asylum seekers, contract marriages and boycott in the system…most peeps don’t want to leave Canada. 😀 essentialone: |

You’re right on your assertion. But, for a temporary student permit…they just want you to show not prove…everyone knows that assets appreciate overtime. sternakin: |

Pls I need answers. Was refused my first Canada application under a week of biometrics. I reapplied it is one month now and no reply and I did upfront medical for study visa |
| Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by techgen(m): 10:44am On Oct 25, 2024 |
Amara360:Waiting for PPR can affect one’s mental reasoning…just relax, since it’s one month, you should be expecting feedback within the next 14 days…reapplication reply typically takes 1month 2 weeks from my observation and when I also applied. I do hope after your first refusal, you ordered for your GCMS note and address the VO concerns in your reapplication. Good luck to us all!!! |

Please help. I just got my refusal note on GCMS. These are the reason for refusal. Can anyone help me with writing a new SOP as this looks like SOP problem. I need urgent help.

| Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by Bobomaigida: 9:22pm On Oct 25, 2024 |
resilience001:You have rightly deduced the issue, you need to rewrite the SOP to show the benefits of the course to career and the gains to be made from the additional qualification you are seeking in Canada |
| Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by resilience001: 9:48pm On Oct 25, 2024 |
Bobomaigida:the problem was all these were stated in the previous sop. may be it was too long. it was 29 pages. but everything was captured. Can I you advise who can help rewrite? or maybe i rewrite and point them to pages where those information are captured? also does this mean every other thing is fine? thank you so much |

Is it possible to get a payment receipt and pal from a school in canada without making any payment? Ocas shows paid, payment receipt shows that 20,000 cad has been paid, but the student did not make such payment. |
| Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by MarksmanD: 1:16am On Oct 26, 2024 |
It might be an error, but the student should make an effort to reach out to the school for correction and they should pay the required deposit. vicdon: |

vicdon:Please l hope it not agent that gave you payment receipt ? ,pls confirm that receipt and the PAL before you apply visa! |
| Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by Bobomaigida: 9:26am On Oct 26, 2024 |
resilience001:It is possible the VO did not read all the SOP, they are human afterall, You can send the SOP let us review it together. |
| Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by techgen(m): 10:38am On Oct 26, 2024 |
In my opinion, the best way to go about this is using sub headings to buttress your points and ensure they are convincing…the major concern here is your study gap…why the sudden interest in furthering after 9 years? Again, your SOP is damn long…It’s not easy to read 29pages. When reapplying, be mindful of consistency. else they might give you refusal for inconsistency. resilience001: |
