cheesy cheesy

It's not even upto a month you turned against Ten Hag on this thread meanwhile I called for his sack at the end of last season. If you think somehow I'm not happy or okay with his sack, it's only in your deluded head.
grin

.....that's why I said i know your limit - that is what your brain can process actually. He said not up to a month?! LMFAO!

Even though I am a bit worried about some of the names on INEOS' wish list (Potter, Southgate etc), I'd say we should just enjoy ETH's sack in peace...atleast for now grin.

Ruud would probably remain in charge till the end of the season..

I am not sure we can totally avoid "Reconstruction" though - Orobosa, Anthony and the likes would most likely be surplus to requirements in the long term. However, a good manager can still gradually rebuild in a promising and exciting manner.

Berarda and his team had better live up to the hype - they need to get it right this time around
I wouldn't outrightly write off these players yet, especially the new signings and Garnacho. Antony ain't this had at Ajax, who knows he can possibly learn from Raphinha and pick up form.

Board should use this season to study every single one of them, including Bruno. Anyone ain't good enough should be shown exit door at end of the season.

I'm more concerned about the next person. Getting it right starts from the manager. We can't afford to waste another year or two
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Oasis007(m): 6:44pm On Oct 28, 2024
Ruud van Nistelrooy’s tactical approach at PSV Eindhoven emphasized flexible yet structured gameplay, balancing offense and defense. His main tactics included:

1. Formation Variability: Primarily used 4-3-3 and 4-2-3-1 formations, occasionally shifting to a 4-4-2 to adapt to different opponents.

2. Wing Play and Width: Focused on creating width in attack, leveraging wingers to stretch defenses. PSV frequently relied on crossing into the box, exploiting pace and technical skill along the flanks.

3. Midfield Dynamics: Gave a central player, notably Xavi Simons, creative freedom to operate across attacking areas. Simons’ fluid movement allowed him to find and exploit space, keeping PSV unpredictable.

4. Defense and Pressing: Built a compact defensive shape, encouraging opponents to play wide. This approach directed the opposition’s attack toward PSV’s strong center-back pairing, skilled in defending crosses.

5. Adaptability with Key Players: Adjusted play style to suit player departures, such as Cody Gakpo. After Gakpo’s transfer, Van Nistelrooy relied more on quick passing and central build-up, while dribbling was mainly left to Simons.

This blend of structured defense and adaptive, wing-focused attack contributed to PSV’s success under Van Nistelrooy.

Ellexy:
Yes and I mean it. The games where boring with his possession football at times but it never got bad to crisis levels like we experienced under Mourinho, Ole or Ten Hag. He was consistently showing up against the big teams and finished 5th once. I think Rooney said the same thing too.
LVG was lucky because other teams were piss poor.

Mancity was being coached by a certain Pellegrini if I'm not mistaken.

Looks like it’s Rueben Amorin coming in.

I’ll support him as well. Hope he can last longer than 2 years.

DNT really know about Southgate but for Potter dts a big No. We don't want any manager dt will start that hogwash of rebuilding. We v b in d wilderness for too long . l need immediate result so a coach of proving track records shud b employed. Allowing Rudd to b in charge till end of season is another big mistake. Allow new coach to makes whatever mistake he wants to make now so dt next season he will b beta for it. New season has just begun!

Interesting that they're going for Amorim. So why not go for him last summer when he was pretty much ready for a move?

From that article, it seems he prefers to play 3CBs..

If he eventually comes to OT, it would be interesting to see how he sets up his team

Any coach that will come in and be very brutal with his assessment of the team is highly welcome. No sugar coating, no pursuit of short term gains

A good manager should be flexible and adaptable...

We have seen numerous managers abandon their default tactics to suit the prevailing circumstances and still delivered results...

3CBs seems to have backfired severally in the EPL but you never know - it may work out just fine..

I think Mourihno popularised the 4-3-3 in the PL - it was a paradigm shift from the default 4-4-2 those days
