Yes, premarital sex is bad, but what should motivate a person to say NO to premarital sex should be willingness to avoid sin or another valid reason.

Are couples who marry as virgins having healthier marriages? Being a virgin before marriage or avoiding premarital sex will not strengthen a relationship. Many Christians are suffering today because of the ignorance that has been spread. Let's stop spreading ignorance. Next time, try to be logical, at least conduct your own personal research.

Personally, I have made many discoveries from the Bible. My findings may hurt the egos of many Pastors and devout Christians. When I am fully prepared to stoned, I will share my discoveries. For now, peace be unto all.

I know a lot of no-sex before marriages that are hell on earth and some ended in divorce. Why the hell will I marry someone I may not be sexually compatible with and who told you pre-marital sex is wrong? I and my wife, members of Dominion City Church, Port Harcourt, Rivers State... We got married 2018... We agreed to avoid sex and other sexual activities until we get married properly ( Court, Traditional and White).
By the grace of God, we kept ourselves away from sex till we got wedded in church after our court wedding and traditional.
If I could remember correctly, we were asked to kiss during the court wedding Infront our guest...
Please note: the court wedding was 2days before the white wedding... We finally had our first sex on our wedding night
... October 6th this year was our 6th Anniversary...

People from other cultures, including non-Christians — yes, even Muslims— can achieve this same. All it takes is lots of self-discipline and self-control for both those involved.

Abstaining from premarital sex just like fasting, has benefits without even being examined through a religious lens.

Firstly, it is a demonstration of the self-discipline of the intending couples which is key to marital fidelity and marital fidelity will help a marriage last longer.

Secondly, it is a display of maturity and self-sacrifice. Intending couples can come together and take a difficult decision that goes against their natural will. This is also another key character attribute the will help a marriage last longer as both couples can come together and act selflessly in pursuit of a goal they consider greater.

Third, abstaining from sex helps reaffirm that the basis of their affection is not driven by sex. Both couples are able to appraise each other and appreciate those attributes that isn't found in sex which is good from their long time commitment because there would be many times when one partner would not be available to have sex for an extended period.

Lastly, as a guy, abstaining from sex not just before marriage but even intermently during marriage is good for building up your mental strength and focus. Which is why in grueling sports and occupations, it is frown upon when men engage in sex rather than focus on the task at hand e.g in a football camp
