Funny enough, Coach Olowokeere may lead the Flamingoes to next year’s World Cup 😂 But on a serious note, I hope the likes of Moshood, Chidi, Effiong, and the keeper are retained for next year’s World Cup (assuming, of course, that wouldn’t be overaged by then) |

This loss to USA really hurts. After scoring those number of goals at the group stages only to come and lose in the quarter finals. Olowookere thought it would be a work over against USA, he didn't analyse this game well,. I know we would be back next year but there is need for quality on the technical bench. I can't imagine he was telling his players to shoot anyhow when the ball gets to them. Who does that in modern day football? Chai.... |

solonnachi:It truly was so frustrating to see the girls soaking the game and other games with mostly off-target shots. I was saying to myself, “can’t these girls just toe the line of one-touch/combination passes, regardless of the coach’s instructions?” Anyway, if it were up to me, I wouldn’t mind having a person like Mercy Akide becoming the team’s head coach. After all, she has years of experience coaching high school teams in the U.S., which would dovetail nicely with coaching an U-17 team. |

| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by solonnachi: 8:37am On Oct 27, 2024 |
PDPGuy:Infact people like Danjuma and Olowookere should never near our youth teams again until NFF sends them on refresher courses in coaching and they acquire basic techniques and skills in coaching. It's not all about run and shoot. Like you rightly said, let the Akides, Omagbemis etc be given opportunity to coach our female teams. Enough of all these nonsense. It's so painful watching those girls crying profusely yesterday. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by WarHammer2000: 8:38am On Oct 27, 2024 |
isan:It's actually not an entirely bad idea if the shooting is limited to a few designated shooters who have orders to shoot from reasonable range (say 20-25 yards) and only in situations when the ball is optimally positioned and there are no good passing options available. But if every player has the license to shoot from everywhere and everytime regardless of the availability of passing options and the player's shooting capabilities, there certainly is a problem. |

We may get to see Chidi, Effiong, Moshood, and the goalie at next year’s WC because they would all still be age-eligible… |

PDPGuy:The bolded… The likes of Omagbemi, Akide and Nkiru Okosieme have been coaching Youth & College teams in the US for over a decade now, Is time the NFF take advantage of their experience at that level.. Bring them on board let them nurture this girls… If they’re not doing well with the various teams they’re handling they won’t be staying with the job of Developing the Players till date..! |

WarHammer2000:No be game reader go sabi when not to and not to? 😹 Anyway, na robot be that. I miss Ordega days mehn. Coach go expect her to pass, auntie go launch one bad rocket, etc. |

Deltamani:The bolded is a key point you made. As they are Black African women, if they showed the slightest sign of incompetence, they would have been shown the exit door in a haste! |

Okay guys we forgot to talk about Chioma Olise game against Algeria for the SuperFalcons.. She played deep and far better than what we saw at the U20 World Cup.. is this not enough sign that Danjuma is the reason this girls didn’t do well at the World Cup?.. |

I don’t see any reason why Coach Madugu should play Chiamaka Nnadozie in today’s game against Algeria… They should try btw the biggies/shorties of Monle & Udoka let’s see.

Now that no female rep from Falcons made it to Balon D'or top 20 this time, it is high time we set this house in order for wafcon and get at least 3 players for the next one. We should be striving for excellence at the top and not this homebased/foreign based divide that is gradually gaining noise since last month. I doubt Zee will enter the Balon D'or list again. So that leaves Rasheedat Chiamaka Jennifer To double up, especially for the upcoming AFCON. No excuses whatsoever for these three. I hope a smart coach takes the team there. We should not be resting on our oars. Resting on oars is for semifinal spot. We are gunning for the title and that's the least expectation. We need to work towards that. I hope Rinsola is invited after this homebased friendlies. I also hope the right mix of cadet players are selected. |

daveP:Omor is only Rash that I can point fingers at right now, PSG poor show in the Champions League won’t help Onyi Echegini either… We need a new star to be born into the team like real quick.. ZEE is on her way out, she has done enough for herself and Africa as a whole.. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Deltamani: 1:14pm On Oct 29, 2024 |
isan:You’re right but I don’t see him doing that though, the first game all the Foreign based players were literally the stand out players, non of the Home based really stood tall..! |
