Apologies if you find my message offensive but that is the truth. The beauty about japa is that when it all clicks, the reward outweighs the risk. There are risk you need to take first to get the reward and a deposit is part of it. I wish you all the best on your Canadian journey. Gloriousangel: |

A close family member like a brother is always preferred for study permit sponsorship. So, you can use him as the sponsor if he has the required finance (1yr tuition fee + 20,635+ flight cost), a reliable source of funds for the subsequent year. You have to show your relationship (birth certificates should suffice) and a history of financial support (not just from your brother) from your brother to you and other family members (parents and siblings) if applicable. Let him pay the 1500 CAD from his account to show commitment. Although you can apply IT in most fields, I am unconvinced that your proposed program aligns with your current occupation. Can you justify the study being a reasonable expense for this career? An IT or business-related occupation would have been convincing. If you intend to move ahead with this program in relation to your occupation, ensure that the program's purpose is well articulated on your SoP to avoid the issue of digression. You are responsible for persuading the immigration officer about your intentions to study the program. Gloriousangel: |

bullstriker:Hello, Thank you for the detailed response. I sincerely appreciate. Considering all that has been said here, I would ask him to pay the deposit from his account while we work on paying at least the first semester tuition. My program is for One year so I’m not expected to show POF for a second year. Like you rightly pointed out, IT can be applied to literally all aspect of life and business. While my genuine intention is to pivot into a Business analyst role, I can also word it as I would be coming back to bridge the gap in migrating/onboarding school operations where I currently work from non internet based learning environments to an internet integrated environment along with utilizing my IT skills and knowledge I will gain from the program to bridge the gap between students, teachers and school administrators . I will be in your DMs. Thank you so much. |

I'll advise you to focus only on IT in your SOP leave out Business analyst future career intention. Don't give the VO a room to misconstrue your intent. Talk only about IT and what you intend to use the technical skill you'll acquire to achieve in Nigeria. Also if your sponsor can be willing to pay for a GIC registration for you, I'll also advise you to go that route, because it shows better commitment too from the sponsor. Gloriousangel: |

Zyzman:Depending on your class of 1st degree, you can look for course in data analytics, data science and computer related programmes, check mastersportal dot com or use google to look for, you will see various options and then you can check the tuition and duration of the programme. |

Bobomaigida:Thank you so much boss I really appreciate your prompt response. Tried to check but I am seeing 53,000 cad for Applied computing in British Columbia institute of technology. I would appreciate if you can mention one of two courses with universities that are affordable. |

Hello, MBS can not be self-generated; you must walk into the bank to generate it and the bank will send it directly to IRCC, they will issue you a ticket that contain the information of the document which you will attach with your Proof of means of funds documents compilation. A3autos: |

JMG12:Thank you, Can you please recommend a course for masters and a university as well. I am also thinking that since I do not want to study anything related to Biochemistry (my school discipline) and most Master IT courses requires Computer science degree, DO you think My wife that studied Biochemistry as well should just do a masters in health course and I be the spouse on sowp with our 1 year old kid on VV. Please house your input is required, as this means I will have to get marriage cert and also her BSC cert from her school and passport for both of them. |

If you can prove your work line, schools will give you admission. Getting admission is the important thing. Most schools will insist that you have a first degree in computer science or info technology but you can be lucky. I know someone who got admitted by just work experience and no degree. Zyzman: |
