I wouldnt know because this thread is Open Work Permit. So you should have clarified.

Closed work permit usually takes longer time because of the institutions check involved.

These documents are overloaded sef. Lol. Since your hubby has a PGWP, my questions would be is his work in NOC O, A or B and full time? Also, hope his letter of employment has details like his job position (i believe), his hours, and states it is full time? If not, he should get a recent letter from his employer stating those cogent points and/or point that out in his LOE supporting your application. He could also include utility bills (phone and/or internet) that have his name on it. This is to prove his residential address in Canada.

As a PGWP holder, no bank statement is needed really. Pay slips are enough proof of funds. That's what i also did (no bank statements). Nevertheless, there is no harm including it/them.

It depends on the status of the spouse in Canada, is she on PGWP or OWP?

Generally, you will need to provide
Evidence of the work of the spouse already in Canada/ offer letter/paystubs
POF to cover your living expenses
Your own qualifications
Letter of intent
Letter of Invitation
Evidence of your relationship- Marriage cert, pictures etc

You can submit your wifes statement and your own statement, just ensure you explain the sources of the funds and shed light on any lump sum deposit into both accounts.

You can strive to have a minimum of 10,000 CAD for your living expenses.

The letter of intent, will be written by you stating why you want to go to Canada, and describing your qualifications and experience.

Did you later add an LOE to your application explaining why you wrote NO in the EE application
Or what did you do ??

Hi guys,

Just needed our suggestions based on case scenario.

If as a spouse i want to apply for SOWP based on my wife completing a program and getting PGWP, what's the best option:

1) Apply for SOWP together with my graduated spouse when she is also applying for PGWP so approvals can tickle in either same time or maybe PGWP comes 1st and the SOWP follows

2)Allow my student spouse to apply 1st and get the PGWP and then I the spouse can apply for SOWP outside Canada which of course might take more time.

3)Allow my student spouse to apply first and get approved on PGWP and thereafter I can go and apply for SOWP through flagpole if I have a valid visitor permit in Canada and my spouse accompany me with all other relevant doc like PGWP, full time offer, pay stubs, bank statement etc

Please share your thoughts.
