Good day, I think you just have to give it little time to get either of the emails, you can't get ur passport if an email hasn't been sent, sometimes application process takes longer than expected, also varies with other applicants experience, it might be sooner or later, it doesnt determine if it is successful or unsuccessful. Tomorrow, Friday makes it 3wks completing my biometric, though my travel date is for Christmas, there is lot of time to wait. I hope you get a success news soon. humbleboyy: |

Just a general advice. For all those intending visitors to UK that are not self-sponsored or sponsored by immediate family members (not distant uncles/aunt/friends etc), please note that you are going to be perceived as an economic migrant especially given the economic situation in Nigeria. The onus rests on you to prove from your application that you are a genuine short term visitor to UK. Before submitting your application, ask yourself the question "Does this application look like the applicant will return after their visit? (?ties to home)." Once you have an answer/doubt in your head on this question, then you can easily tell the probable direction your application will go. You can then seek further assistance here with your pertinent questions that the fantastic contributors here will be willing to answer. My above comment is simply a general advice so that time and funds are not wasted but not directed at anyone. God bless. |

Good morning, please I really want to understand. 1. “Do you have another income or savings”? I answered Yes, Savings. I have about N9M saved from my salaries since January. 2. How much money do you have in savings(GBP)? My question is, would it be my total savings in my account I’m to enter here. Please someone guide me. Thank you. |

Will I see a free date even if it is far . Goodiegirl: |
| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by djbaju(m): 6:25pm On Nov 01, 2024 |
Abbebbay:I paid 80k or 80 something for prime time, I tried searching for a free date for almost 2 months but wasn't successful. The best you can do is pay for assisted service to get date, I think the amount is cheaper around 40k. I don't think it is possible to get a free date these days. |

Thank you for your response, but I do not understand clearly. I spend 200k from my First Bank monthly then leave the remaining 450k as savings there. It’s my salary account as well, right now it’s about 9M. They asked if I have savings on the form. I’m I going to enter the 9M as my savings and enter 650k as my monthly salary, is it correct? Kindly elucidate. Thank you. |

Pls I have COS as a care assistant in the uk, since the law does not permit dependant on my own visa (my husband and kids are here on student visa but we do not qualify for post study). My husband has a job in Nigeria, so he is ok to go back to Nigeria for a while and can be on a visitor visa, but how can my kids stay here with me in the uk please, any help will be well appreciated 🙏🏽 |

Good evening everyone, where do I upload my documents for UK visa application |
| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by JayJay0211: 9:36pm On Nov 01, 2024 |
I stand to be corrected but "Savings" here implies funds set aside (in a separate account for that purpose) different from the salary. What you have, suggests that from your monthly salary, you have unspent funds left over in your account monthly. To me, it looks like residual funds from stated income and not "Savings" since they still remain in your salary account. Consequently, you could put the 200k as the amount spent monthly in the finance section of the form and explain in the space for additional information (as well as a cover letter to be uploaded as supporting document) that the residual (unspent) portion of the monthly salary organically built up the account balance over time hence the opening balance as well as the closing balance. I have had no problems with my previous successful visa applications explaining like suggested, as in my personal experience, my unspent portion of monthly salary obviously accummulates and in 6 months accrue to a sizable balance sufficient to satisfy financial requirements. since i dont tender any other bank account aside from the salary account and i dont indicate any "savings" since i technically dont have any. My 2 cents! Jolene474: |

Thank you for your addition. So you mean the 9M is not a saving rather unspent salary. “Residual funds” So the question, do you have any savings, I’ll say No? |
| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by davodyguy: 11:10pm On Nov 01, 2024 |
Jolene474:That's not saving, but your regular account. Don't click savings Do you have savings? Click No How much do you earn monthly? ₦650k How much do you spend monthly? ₦200k Do you have savings? Click No or ignore So you have other regular income? If you don't have, ignore That's all and final answer |

| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by davodyguy: 11:24pm On Nov 01, 2024 |
Abbebbay:I already gave a tip on how to spend less You can't get a free date, but you can still pick assisted service for just ₦32,000 and book for biometrics |

davodyguy:Well it might seem like that, just trying understand how this application works now. I was directed to TLS and not sure if I am to pick a date before I can upload my documents or will upload documents before picking a date. That's the bit I am trying to have clarification. |
| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by davodyguy: 1:16am On Nov 02, 2024 |
Yoms47:You don't have to pick a date to upload However, you must login via UK website, get redirected to TLS, login to TLS, by picking your Centre, then you'll be taken to the page showing Amend, and tracking. While you're on that page, open another tab of your browser and insert this link selfupload.visas/uk.tlscontact.com You'll be able to upload. Make sure all documents are uploaded before you click submit, as if you click submit, you'll not be able to upload anymore |

Thanks once again and its all sorted out now. Tried booking an appointment and there was no free date and after opting for an assisted service of 32k, still its not giving the option to check out. Can you pls give a guide on how to go about it.
