Hello sir/ma, you have asked this question for the past few days and no one has replied to you. It's not all questions people answer on this platform. Once most people get their visas or a rejection, they forget about this thread. Most of the advice you'll receive here regards to your visa application based on our experiences. You might be lucky to receive an advice from someone who has applied to your institution.
As long as you're not using an agent, then you'll have to do most of your research yourself. Also, you don't have to depend on Nairaland alone for your questions, you can check canadavisa.com. YouTube is also a very rich resource platform. Join OJC Telegram group.
There's no question you have regarding Canadian immigration, that an Indian hasn't answered on the Internet. You'll also have to join Indian forums. Good luck.
Thank you so much for this I really appreciate it 🙏

Hello please I am trying to use my own account to submit this application but the platform keeps thinking I (who is already in Canada as a student) is also applying for a visit visa with my wife and kid. But I am only applying for wive and kid alone.
It is because you are answering the questions like you are the one applying, your spouse should be the primary applicant now.

Canada does not deserve to be called a developed country.

As a first world with a very big country and large economy, why are they in mess? With just about 1m surge in population.

Canada is overrated abeg, nothing person wan tell me.

Hello house,

Please is it compulsory to buy a round trip/ 2-way travel ticket when traveling to Canada for a 1 year PGD program? I am resuming in January, 2025 and bought an Egypt air one way ticket thinking that I can buy a return ticket later but the online travel ticket platform I got the ticket from has been calling me saying that with a study visa, it is compulsory I buy a round trip/2 way ticket with Egypt air else I might have issues when traveling. Please is this true or do they just want to sell travel tickets.

I was told by a friend that I can buy a one way ticket on Egypt air if I have paid for my first semester in full and all I need to do is to have a print out of it with me. I don’t know how true this is.

Please kindly advise me on this to avoid issues when traveling. I look forward to your all responses. Thanks a lot.

Hello, good evening. For the online application for NBCC, can I use my GCE results as my high school transcript? Or I need to get my transcript from my high school?

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by Shayo5: 1:17am On Nov 11, 2024
No, you don't have to buy a round-trip ticket. Ensure you have the receipt of your fees, a hard copy of your bank statements, the LOA, and the letter from IRCC.
Also get familiar with your student portal, know where your timetable is and if there is a part that shows you have been enrolled make sure you know where it is, you will be asked such questions. Goodluck

I say this all the time and some people don’t get it. Canada is overreacted coming from someone that have lived there for over 8 years. Things that common sense can fix, it’s a struggle for them.

For a 2-yr program yes, but for a year program it is advisable to get round trip ticket to avoid being considered as a potential immigrant with no intention of returning to home country.

What is worth doing, is worth doing well to avoid had I know.

Good Morning Everyone,

I am stuck in finding a suitable course for 2 years Master's degree.

I have Biochemistry degree and about 3 years experience in IT.

I need to find a course in IT that will accept me without a computer science degree.

Thanks in anticipation.

There is no compulsion to buy a round trip ticket, neither IRCC or CBSA requires it. The airline could be pushing this cos it helps them make more sales. It is not mandatory.

The rule of thumb is that every temporary visa holders must buy a return ticket. Because flight tickets are valid for one year, that is why those going for study or visit that is more than one year are advised to buy one way. If your airline says your program duration can accomodate a return ticket, please buy it o. CBSA is not smiling right now. They have return so many people from the airport since this cry of "students are coming to take our jobs" started by the locals. Remember that having a visa is not a guarantee of entering Canada. CBSA has the final say.

Good evening, house. Please, can I use my e-statement of account generated from my bank app for my tourist visa application? Or is it compulsory that I send it to the embassy from the bank?
