Price of beans has started crashing in our local markets because of the fear of new one coming out soon.
White beans(postako and akara) has drop from 170k-120k yesterday.
Yes new beans will be out in two weeks.

1) what type of grain is at its harvest now till end of December.

2) what is the cost of delivery per 100kg to Agbor

3) what is the mode of payments.

Akara 115k
Potasko 115k
Iron white 120k
All in 100kg bag(26 painter).

It is a evil business . Not something I want to go into. It is this storage business that causes the high prices of foodstuff at a certain period of the year. If it is done on a small level, it is not bad. However, if done on a massive scale ( as it is currently being done ) , it is pure evil.

Have you ponder why despite the supposed accursed hoarders, price still comes down during the harvest seasons?
Your proposition would have held true if the price rise defies both harvest & selling seasons.

The hoarders are only mopping up the glut & excess produces of the harvest seasons.

It's the failure of the government policies that the middle-men are cashing out on
A functioning government at all the 3 - tiers should naturally take over the storage biz of crops, and stabilise the price

Let me cite a good example of the poor governance .
Do you know why there's a wide gap/difference between agricultural products in the North and South?
Simply ineffective transportation!

Please I heard that govt has lifted ban on importation of soya beans and maize. How true is this ? And Is that the reason for the downward trend in the prices of these commodities now ?. What do you think is the fate of already stored goods within the next few months before next harvest begins?

The Prices of Maize & Soya can't go below the current Prices.

So far, below are the prices at the Benin Republic
Maize: 22000 FCFA per 110Kg
Soya: 30000 FCFA per 110Kg

Besides, border countries can't supply the needed volumes to the Nigerian market. It's just a matter of few weeks, we will consume it all.

For the international markets, CORN FUTURES is at a ATH in the 1Y time frame. SOYA FUTURES at 3M ATH.
