They have shown they got what it takes to clinch the trophy. They need to work on their finishing regardless. Im so happy for the way the two goals came.

The sunfowns switched off too, thinking it was over. Seeing Dlamini sitting on the pitch and devastated pleased me. Mazembe will be a great physical test. Oyono might be tested this time. But our midfielders will show their worth in that game.

Osigwe is a gem. If only pace was her forte. cool

And they sure did. The better side deservedly won. Edo Queens are richly rewarded for their persistency. They have been the best side in this group. That FC massar game vexed me because we were clearly better but struggled against that Haramic deep block.

FC Massar still have blood on their hands for stealing a point off this Edo Queens Side with their absolute haram football.

Pretty sure Edo Queens will learn a thing or two if they cross paths with such haram again.
Lol at haramic cheesy I mean, why would u spend money to buy all those foreign players just to park bus? grin

Before the Sundowns scored, the game was 50/50 but after their goal we were not in the same ball park. We dominated them in every aspect. If not for their keeper and our own nervous finishing they would have lost by even more.

How you can miss it twice on two threads (Super Eagles and Super Falcons) in the same day is amazing

How far naa?
Lols, didn't watch the first match. But I watched Edo Queens against FC Masar. Their performance there, especially when you also look at how our U17 and U20 Teams went out in this year's WorldCup, was justifiable reasons to write them off.
But they served me humble pie and i'm happy eating it. grin

The Super Eagles have already qualified. For Team cohesion it's only fair you also give the unused guys time on the pitch.
Eguavoen is a reasonable fellow. I trust everyone will get some minutes.

Better than meeting AS FAR so soon. Mazembe are good (not stronger than Sundowns) but I think Edo can get the job done. Clinicality will be their only problem vs Mazembe. If they can finish, then Mazembe is finished.
I like that the 2 North African Teams are meeting each other.
No inferiority complex, which us Black Africans tend to have.
Plus they can use their North African times wasting and aggressive wayo and cancel each other out.

Let me go and look at TP Mazembe match highlights

And now they are playing together.

The BBC is right now airing a documentary about women's football. They say that the decade from 2015 till now has changed women's football. Barcelona wasn't a professional team in 2015, clubs didn't play in major stadiums, etc, but all thathas changed.

They said that they created the BBC women's footballer of the year award in order to grow the game. The first winner was Oshoala.

They went to California to speak to Oshoala. She spoke about how she felt when she won the award in 2015, she spoke about moving to Barcelona (the BBC journalist says that she helped to create the best team in the world). She talked about the changes in women's football between 2015 and now.

Then they said that when Oshoala won the award, there was a little girl in Zambia that was dreaming about being like her.

Yes, you guessed it, they interviewed Rachel Kundananji. She talked about looking up to Oshoala and Marta to becoming the most expensive player in the world and playing in the same team with Oshoala.

They are now talking to members of the current US National Team and the famous US team of 1999

If it comes to Physicality I’m not scared for Edo Queens ooo cause every Nigerian team knows how to go tough when it comes to very physical Opponents..

They will be Marked out and rendered Fruitless if the Coaches do their Job well.

She's friends with Deborah Abiodun. But I can't recall her being in any of the 2022 or 2024 U17 or U20 sets.

Good luck to her. Congrats!

Unimpressed with the misplaced passes from Ijamilusi. That RW needs Usani there near Essien. She's been back for most of this half.

The TP Mazembe goal that was cancelled, they should have done more to show us detailed review on TV.
But anyways we were on the front foot in the first half. So lucky us, and well deserved.
The girls should gather themselves and get that goal.
