UI Students Dive into AI & Robotics at UNESCO-Infinix Workshop!

At least 30 students from various departments at the University of Ibadan just wrapped up a mind-blowing UNESCO-Infinix 3D AI and Robotics Training CogLabs Workshop. The goal? To empower young minds with AI and robotics skills while targeting a jaw-dropping 10,000 students nationwide.

The most exciting part? 20 lucky participants will get the ultimate upgrade—they’ll be kitted out with all the tools needed to train others. It’s a chain reaction of tech brilliance, all happening at the Infinix ICT Resource Centre right on UI’s campus!

Olumide Adeloju, Infinix X Club’s community manager, spilled the tea: “This is a ‘train the trainers’ session. We’re equipping 30 eager students with STEM and AI skills so they can become the tech whisperers for others.”

The vision? To use AI, machine learning, and robotics to tackle real-life Nigerian challenges. With UNESCO, Infinix, and even Google in the mix, the mission is clear—spread the tech gospel far and wide.

Fun fact: UI is the first university in Nigeria to host this groundbreaking event, following a similar workshop in Nairobi, Kenya.

Wrapping it up, Oluwayemisi Ode, Infinix Nigeria’s PR, told the students to grab the chance with both hands. From the Infinix ICT Centre to the handy CogLabs app, the future is here, and it’s all about AI-powered solutions.
