it's called indigenous knowledge, d community I grew up in Niger state, if you die by drowning, then you'll be buried very close to the river banks.... Dis strategy was conceived so that people will take more caution when swimming especially kids... The same thing with d evil forest, there's nothing evil about the evil forest, it's only a conservation method for treesand animals..... Some tradition though!, I have read about this tradition in some villages that if a traditional married woman cheats and cook for the husband that the man will fall sick and if the necessary rites are not performed, he will die.

My question is what is the man offence?
Someone cheats and an innocent person dies, does it make sense? Before a lady will cheat on the husband she doesn't give a f**k what happens to the husband so it's an alternative to giving your husband a poison just that this time it's done by the gods

The full gist is that "If the woman cheats and the HUSBAND IS AWARE, he will die if he should eat the food she prepared, or if they should share same bed together(not necessarily having sex but to sleep on same bed).

So, if the Husband is NOT AWARE, it's the woman that will run mad or suffer a death sentence kind if sickness, till she confesses and the a ritual is performed to cleanse her.
