There is nothing over the moon about what i said. I have stated here repeatedly that i will suspend judgement until i see workings from him, but the point i was trying to make is that if Amorin does not keep the faith with his system and instead switches system from year to year like ETH, he too will fail.

ETH wasted his first 2 seasons. That was why he lost his way at the club. Most fans would have accepted if after struggling in the early part of the first season we saw incremental improvement. Most fans will prefer struggling in the 1st season while addressing
the core problems and improving from there INSTEAD of chasing results in the first season and struggling into the 2nd and 3rd season because the core problems were not addressed.

What ETH did was akin to putting lipstick on a pig. Amorin must start by addressing the core issues now and then improve slowly from there. Most fans will forgive poor results while he still has lots of goodwill. If he chases results now and neglects to address the problems in the team, he too will go the way of ETH in 1-2 years' time.

A 1-1 draw with Ipswich in his first game away. Is not a bad result. The good thing I like about this appointment now is that he will have the rest of the season to implement his style and allow players settle in, those that dont fit in will be shipped out and we will clearly see what we want to bring in ready for next season.

Never said a draw against Jpswich is a bad thing , but to several fans, it would be the beginning of a disaster. No wins in 3 and some peeps would start the get him out chant.

Take all these positive vibes with a pinch of salt. When things get toff the same people discussing CB partnerships with euphoria will be the same ones that will say “Amorim better get it right or he foks off”.

We are a reactionary fanbase. A bad result is often not seen as bad until we see Chelsea or Arsenal win. Then the prongs come out with gusto

If Amorin is who people say he is then he could not have gotten the job at a better time for the youth players. This is the deepest collection of talented youth players we have had in maybe decades. Surely some of them will make it here.

It’s not about you but the general feeling around Amorim’s appointment and the good vibes following his resumption

Yeah, we have very fickle fans. Unless he takes us into relegation waters i will give him until next season. After 2 transfer windows and a full preseason we should see dividends of his coaching.

This was the most significant coaching error that ETH made. Instead of sticking fully to his principles he was sitting on the fence tactically.

Playing high press (following his principles) while still playing a low defense line (going against his principles) because he felt our defenders were not pacy enough. This was the origin of the donut midfield and the wasted 2nd season that spiralled out of control and ultimately led to his sack.

I said it here then, he should have stuck to his principles (combine the press with a high line, compress the midfield, and even though the defense might suffer in the initial stages, at least the players will over time master a particular style.

Instead, every season the mumu was changing his tactics based on temporary situations. If Amorim wants to succeed here he has to implement a system that he will be consistent with. Those players that can't cope will be shipped out and replaced.

Yeah. I think we have a nice spread of talents. I hope most of them become professional footballers.

I don't understand why some folks are making it seems like fans didn't stand with ETH enough, especially in his first year in charge.

What fans actually want his Identity and gradual progress. The rotten is obvious hence can't be fixed in a season.

ETH had his chance, promised to end an era to no avail. He succumbed to pressure, lost his ways and ran the club to wilderness.

Modafucker was chasing second tiers trophies at all costs, care less how we got them. Every opportunity, he would remind us he won 2 trophies in his first 2 seasons. LOL!

Amorim is a breathe of fresh air with a clear renewed hope agenda. He has rest of the season to prove he is indeed him. Maresca of Chelsea had clear philosophy hence majority of their fans are sticking with him this season regardless of result.

Pep didn't win the league in his first season but his idea was clear to their fans. Flick may not win La Liga this season and their fans won't ask for his head.

Kompany even though a rookie is enjoying life at Bayern cos he sticks with same philosophy that relegated Burnley back to championship. The board feel potentials in the philosophy and believe they have the tools for him to succeed with it at the club.
