Conceding that corner kick was always a bad idea |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by ThePresenceWtf: 4:54pm On Nov 19, 2024 |
lovewins:Yeah, Ijamilusi could have controlled the ball or even kicked it out for a throw....But she just watched the ball bounce out for a corner why Unbelievable!!! The Center Backs for the past 15 minutes have also been giving away silly fouls and set pieces...Smh. Vera brought into the midfield have done zilch all game too...Rather the midfield has become very porous since her introduction. |

| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by ekehopp2: 5:20pm On Nov 19, 2024 |
Edo Queens are out. About to be 3-1 down, plus TP Mazembe even had a goal disallowed. Sad end for Edo Queens |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by lovewins: 5:21pm On Nov 19, 2024 |
The had this game and let their guard down a few minutes to the end. A repeat of what happened to Sundown, only in the reverse. |

| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by lovewins: 5:23pm On Nov 19, 2024 |
ThePresenceWtf:This is on the coaching crew sha. They had less than 5 minutes to finish the game and blew it. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by ThePresenceWtf: 5:27pm On Nov 19, 2024 |
lovewins:The entire Sub made by the coach was wrong... He Subbed in a player that disorganized the midfield structure....and Edo lost total control of the game. He also took off all players who posed attacking threats, left underperforming ones and brought in players who couldn't even complete passes. Now he has taken off a player he subbed in |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by BascoVanVeli(m): 5:27pm On Nov 19, 2024 |
lovewins:The coach was feeling himself. His substitutions have been completely nonsense. We gave away this game |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by daveP(m): 5:31pm On Nov 19, 2024 |
So technically, we can say that TP Mazembe scored 5goals in this game but 3 was accepted as clean Same can't even be said for these girls They've been wasteful and annoying with passes. Can't even win aerial duels but they keep kicking long balls. As for Oyono.....we move. All this won't have happened had she cleared that ball from going to the corner in the 90th minute. Their errors are making this Mazembe team look good. The Nigerian Dilemma alrounda across all football teams. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by ThePresenceWtf: 5:32pm On Nov 19, 2024 |
lovewins:Yeah sure it's partly on them....Their stupid subs killed any momentum Edo had in the game from minute 70. Again he decided to push the midfield super high and the defense into a low-block....meaning big gaps started appearing in the midfield and TP started winning all the duels and had a free run at the defense. But Ijamilusi really bleeped up there....There was no need for her to concede a corner when she could control the ball and pass out of defense or cleared it out for a throw if she wasn't sure. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by daveP(m): 5:34pm On Nov 19, 2024 |
lovewins:I'll assess Ija later. The disconnect with Olise throughout this game made TP look so great than they ought to. It is obvious that the hattrick she got vs Algeria is because of the creative maestros on the pitch. I hope she improves her terrible passing game. Very terrible. Naaaah. I lost count of her misplaced passes today |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by BascoVanVeli(m): 5:45pm On Nov 19, 2024 |
The freekick that led to the 1st goal didn't exist. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by BascoVanVeli(m): 5:48pm On Nov 19, 2024 |
daveP:Must u hate on every keeper Oyono was not even near that ball. What are u really talking about sef |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by lovewins: 5:50pm On Nov 19, 2024 |
BascoVanVeli:Like. Knowing how you win Sundown just a few days ago, isn't it wisdom to lock in for 5 more minutes max? They were just non challant at the very end and I knew they were going to concede at some point. This was were a good coach would have instead allowed TP have the ball and instead ask the girls to fall back and put them in a shape where they not just conserve energy but can defend effectively the last few minutes. A big let down. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by lovewins: 5:54pm On Nov 19, 2024 |
ThePresenceWtf:Even a dummy could see we were no longer creating chances and was just booting the ball into the opponent's half and hoping for something to happen. What a good coach will do with a few minutes left is structure the team defensively to see our the game and have one or two players run aimlessly with the ball on offense to kill time. Had this happen we were unlikely to have conceded a corner kick and TP quite frankly weren't a threat in open play for the most part. This was a masterclass at loosing a game. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Nomyth: 5:59pm On Nov 19, 2024 |
Why Edo queens fall hand like this? This was theirs to lose. Mazembe is very beatable na. I hope the champions league jinx that has bedeviled Nigerian male club is not about to follow the ladies as well. With our dominance of female football on the continent, this competition should just be a walk in the park for our girls. This thing pain me o. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by BascoVanVeli(m): 6:20pm On Nov 19, 2024 |
lovewins:I don't think falling back would have had an effect on the equalizer. First of all the freekick should have been in our favour. The TP player ducked while our player jumped. The referee helped them a lot. We needed to hold on the ball and the coach kept his best ball carrier in Esther inyang on the bench. Not only that, she is also the best in the air among the midfielders. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by daveP(m): 6:23pm On Nov 19, 2024 |
BascoVanVeli:stop whyning abeg. Hate on every keeper aspa Oyono=Every Anytime i praise any keeper's heroics, you are never there. But the moment i try to criticize abysmal performance, you turn to Thanos+Firelord Ozai. Pls, if you know you can't grasp the time of heroics when i do so, pls pls, just avoid any labeling. What do you mean by hate? ![]() |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by isan(m): 6:59pm On Nov 19, 2024 |
But how do you want oyono to stop the corner in 90th minute? Tell us daveP: |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by BascoVanVeli(m): 7:01pm On Nov 19, 2024 |
daveP:So u didn't hate on faith at 2 different competitions? My issue is not even the hate, it is that u lie to prove them wrong. One time is a mistake but this is a habit for you at this point. Where is Oyono in this picture? How was she going to prevent a corner?
