Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by Jeboy(m): 8:41pm On Nov 19, 2024
Obviously summarized.

I hope everyone who gets visa will do what is right cos the wrong done in time past is the strict rule working against other citizens.

Predator188:
(1)The question was can the SOWP be revoked if student differs enrollment, you didn't answered the question.

Students has 150 day rules to begin studies after deffer of enrollment and must be approved by DLI.
If approved by DLI it is safer for both SOWP and study permit holder.

There can be genuine reasons for differ, it is the abusers that spoil things for the genuine ones, the obvious reasons of changes in immigration rules.
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by Jeboy(m):
We just dey argue for nothing.

Both Affoncad and Kukuruku are correct.

So actually what Affoncad shared is right. If you choose No all through it will make you fill the form as though you are in Nigeria or outside Canada.

You are even advised to choose your home country of residence and not Canada to avoid not filling the wrong form.

So if you meet in country application criteria, it gives you the in country form and you can use a Canadaian resident address and the primary visa office for your application will be Canada.

If you do not meet in-country application criteria just because you visited Canada and you just want to apply for the study permit while on visit in Canada, it will treat your application as though you are applying from your home country residence.

Reason for the flagpole when you are successful and still on visit in Canada but it comes with interview from the CBSA to find out your intent if you re not planning to use study as a means to overstay perpetually in Canada.

Pls let's not have dissent among ourselves.

Affoncad, kukuruku, Bull striker... all you guys have contributed very well to this platform. We don't need to have issues within ourselves as we can disagree to agree.

Yes you can apply from inside Canada with a visitor visa but your application will follow the format of an out-country application. That is no incountry advantage like people who are extending study or work permits.

Am a senior Business Analyst and one of the things I do professionally is to digest and understand requirements. Student education via permit is a Direct Investment to Canada and so they will not want to lose legit FDI because someone visits Canada.

I love you guys, let's keep the knowledge flow going.

You have been asking this same question for a month now. Some people have done their best to answer your questions to the best of their knowledge. Maybe we don't have the answers you seek here. And probably you need to pay a licensed RCIC agent to give you the answer you seek.

My brother Im tired too.
I contacted an agency and I had settled for health sciences then they said it thesis based and they do not advise I apply for that then they gave me option for project management, Masters in health management and they are not something I like.

I really am tired
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by MarksmanD: 2:12pm On Nov 21, 2024
Maybe you should consult with more licensed agencies. Or search for schools you're interested in and write to their admission office asking if you can be admitted to your preferred study program. If you don't see your preference, then maybe you should try other countries because you can only get a Spousal open work permit in Canada if your master's study program is at least 16 months long.
You arrived in Canada last year on an SOWP (Spouse Open Work Permit) with your two kids after allegedly working for FAAN for 15 years. Now you are claiming to be a Canadian citizen . This is an open forum, and such exaggerated claims are unnecessary. Nobody is claiming superiority here; we are all here to learn and educate one another.
There is no need for these bogus claims to validate your points—they make no sense and only detract from meaningful discussion.

Ewooooooo 🙆🙆
PPR ALERT!
Hello all, thanks for all the information you guys drop here, it calmed me down while I was waiting for my visa approval mail.

I applied for study permit on the 31st of October,
Biometrics updated same day ( I have a valid biometrics)
Medicals passed - 18th of November,
PPR letter dropped same 18th of November.

SOWP was also approved for my spouse same day.
We are a family of 4.
Our toddler daughters are American citizens so they didn’t need a visa, but we included proof of funds for a family of 4.
School is resuming in January 2025.

We also have a valid Canadian visit visa that we got last year, we took a trip to Canada in May this year and spent 5 weeks, we came back and started the school application process.
All thanks to God.
I pray for those still waiting to get a positive result soonest 🙏🏼

Congratulations 🎉🎉

Good everyone.
Is it true that masters students will need PAL from January 2025 to apply for Visa?
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by MarksmanD: 5:15pm On Nov 21, 2024
The report on Canada website says it starts from 2025/2026 academic session. But most people are saying it starts in January.

Hello please, I need help, my study permit was refused, and the image below explains why it was rejected, can anyone help me with how to have a stronger application, my semester starts January 27th. Thanks, any answer is appreciated.

Ps. I had 30mil on my account which was transferred few months closer to my application, I also gave them my sponsor SOA, he's a relative of my mom.

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by MarksmanD: 4:25am On Nov 22, 2024
Sorry for the denial.
Firstly, this is a generic rejection template everyone gets. Only when you order your GCMS notes you can ascertain the specific reasons why you were denied.
Secondly, I'll advise you to defer your admission to the next academy session because you won't be able to resume in January if you order for your GCMS notes today and reapply after you get the notes.
Good luck.

how do i go about it. my visa decision has not been made yet and it been a year since i applied.
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by MarksmanD: 11:24am On Nov 22, 2024
You don't pay for it. Most schools only issue it out once you have paid your deposit.

APPLY FOR A GCMS NOTE AND YOU CAN SEND WEBFORMS AS WELL TO BOTHER THEM.

MOST IMPORTANTLY-APPLY FOR GCSM NOTE

HOW MANY MONTHS CLOSER?

WHO SENT THE 30M TO YOU?

NO PROOF OF RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN YOU AND THE RELATIVE.

You have correctly identified some of the red flags on your application. Did you explain the source of the funds transferred to you with supporting documents? Concerning the sponsorship, you need to show the relationship, the sponsor’s incentive since the sponsor is a third party, and that your sponsor’s account funds are available for your education. For example, the sponsor can show commitment by transferring funds to your account, paying your tuition fee, etc. You should also include evidence of prior support from the sponsor, not just financial. Consider deferring your admission and order the GCMS note.
