I buy 18k fuel for a week and I have to use it judiciously. I try to keep it to twice a month but now, it will be 3...that's 54k in a month. And I can't use it for 5 hours everyday like I would the eco product. So, I think it's a good decision. Value for money will be recouped in less than a year.

Yes, Gas generators are no longer a wise option.

Either you have a skilled technician get the ends of your DC cable from the solar panel into a pair of MC4 connectors, now very few people can do that correctly, and you'll have to unplug your xt60 cable from your power station when it rains (protection) these are the issues.
The mc4 part of the cable gadgets world sent me was defective, broken and glued together, I just told the electrician to cut them off and connect them to the 63 Amp switch and then have the ends of the cable from the solar panels go into one of the terminals of the switch, pushing the lever sends solar power to the power station, this connection is done this way so the switch can break it when needed, no direct contact at all times like just connecting the wires without the switch.

The red markup is where the solar cables from the panels go into, the green mark up is where the ends of the Xt60 go into ( mc4 part cut off), pushing that lever up completes the circuit, sends power to the power station, the down part is empty. The socket beside it is fed from my 5kva voltage stabilizer, that's for AC charging.

I connected my own solar panel directly to the Delta 2 using the xt60 connector. Must I use a changeover to break the circuit? What emergencies are there? I hear you say something like unplug the xt60 when it rains, what's that for?

Thanks for replying, as I will be getting one before Black Friday ends...Will add solar panels later on...can't be spending money on petrol...may soon sell off my gen when it is time.

Fuel price is crazy and unrealistic. My area is on band k, so we have about 4hrs of light per day. Sometimes, none at all.
Since I got the Delta 2, no issues, and I still haven't maxed out the power yet. My average load during the daytime is around 350W which the Delta 2 is currently meeting. I don't miss my gen.

I'm not sure, but I know Ecoflow has a presence in Nigeria, I've seen their ads on Facebook "Ecoflow Nigeria".
Also, it doesn't really matter if you buy from jumia, the 5 year warranty is all you need, far back 2018 i bought a Chinese TV I think the brand name was DJack, the board got burned because it was plugged in when a lightening strike got my house, all I had to do was call jumia and ask for return so it's fixed or replaced, my TV was sent to me fixed with a new remote after a few weeks.
Warranty is solid when you buy from Konga and jumia, and the products on jumia are sold by the "official Store store" either it is A retailer endorsed by Ecoflow or a representation of ECOFLOW in Nigeria, I'm not bothered about it at all as i have used my warranty on jumia and konga in the past.

I was able to register my product on the ecoflow app which connects to their cloud. So the 5 years warranty is very legit.

Yes, it is legit, I just thought the querier needed like a physical address or something, I registered mine too, and from the thousands of reviews I read before buying I found that the device when connected to the internet sends Ecoflow just how many times you have cycled the battery, this means when you want to make your warranty claim you cannot lie 😂 quite smart.

You're welcome bro, it is not something very tricky, it took the electrician I got not more than 30 minutes, a good one will understand the connection and install fast.

I could sell my Gen or give that big noisy money pit out anytime 😂, damn band K 🫣, I get like 8 hours a day, band E here and I was very unsatisfied, I can only imagine what K is like, not to mention the frequent grid wahala.

That's the proper way to do it so far the panel(s) output is not more than what it can receive (which is 500 watts max at a time). As for changeover, circuit breakers, that's for going off grid and using it with the house as you would your gas generator.

Yeah MC4 connectors are designed to be waterproof, ours are cut off, so one has to make sure water isn't getting anywhere close.
With the breaker, the solar charge coming from the solar panel can be made to not reach the power station by just moving the switch away from the top position (in my case)i.e break the circuit, this makes sense as I've read many users of the delta series broke the xt60 port (one on the power station), some users reported it falling into the power station from frequent taking out and plugging in, this way it stays permanently plugged in without a need to unplug for whatever reason (lightening strikes, battery fully charged and not in use, or for long term storage,) e.t.c just leave the power station xt60 cable in position and flip the switch, that's the simple protective idea.

That depends on the specific model, you can just Google the maximum and minimum solar voltage of charge your model can take and then you stay a little below the maximum voltage, the current doesn't matter. You can use any efficient solar panel within the acceptable range, I use AFRICELL solar panel and it has been serving me well.

The solution was also written on the review. If you want to charge with generator, you have to download the app and reduce the charging current to 100 watts.

Even if you overpanel, the device will only take what power or current it needs. The problem is when you overshoot the voltage. Thus, whatever connection you're using (series or parallel), ensure that the total voltage is not more than your device requires. Delta 2 is 60v max, for instance, so ensure that your solar panels are supplying less than 60V, otherwise you fry your device.

I bought a used 550W panel, so I'm getting only 270W from it, much to my chagrin.
Ensure that you buy a new original panel like the Jinko 555, you should get a minimum of 400W from it.

Okay. Thanks. So, excess wattage will just waste, but na voltage be thru problem. I get it. My intention is to get a single panel with that voltage range. Not a fan of multiple.

Generators of 6kva and above will charge without issues. Note that the fast charging wattage is 2800W so for any generator struggling, there is a slider switch at the back of the device and option on the app to customise slow charging. The downside is the increased length of charging time.

Yes, it is...just get something in 500s range...cause the maximum that can enter your delta 2 is 500 watts....that one na excess....don't stress anything.

Yeah, this is good. Make sure you're buying new with warranty. The EF panels are meant to be portable and have slightly higher efficiency. But the input is limited to < 160W, so it will take longer to charge your D2.

Yeah I have not used my generator for weeks even before today, can't be fueling my car at the gas station with a frown and also buying into gallons for my generator, I go quick old 😂, I got the solar panel and it's been installed, a power station without a solar panel isn't really an escape from PHCN or Petrol.
