Like we were playing for a draw. The sense of urgency was not there at all. We were supposed to win this game. God help us.

Amad, Deligt, Onana, and Mazraoui are the players for now we will biuld on, Ugarte did well on ocassions, we need to see Mainoo. The rest of the players are garbage.

The second half was better than the first.

But I think they could have won the match if urgency was put into it.

Generally, the tactics is there but making it work is what I don't know.

Amad is not a wingback, Amorin should not make that mistake again.
Rasmus and Zirkzee are not United level players, kudos to Ipswich for putting up a wonderful show...

Dalot and Garnacho has the lowest football IQ in this squad. Tụfịakwa

I am not going to stress myself over a coach that had just 2-3 sessions to introduce a new formation to his players.

There is nothing long term that can be taken from this game. Ole and Moyes both had big wins in their first matches. ETH lost his first match.
If we had won today, siddon look mode. If we had lost today, siddon look mode. We drew today, siddon look mode.

The usual reflex complainants of the thread can carry on.

Onana is the most improved player in this team. Man has singlehandedly reduced the level of tears and wailing from the fans this season. Would have saved that Hutchinson shot but for that slight deflection from Mazraoui bald head.

Agree that second half was slightly better, but we were still not progressing forward. We had lots of possession passing at the back. Not looking good honestly. Just hope we won’t be relying solely on this style, else, we go too chop am.

Amad should nail that RW/SS position, i don't know how the coach go do am cux that means finding another position to play Bruno. Still early days, it's clear some of these players neva sabi anything. 2yrs+ of EtH and his squad overhaul and the squad is even way worse. I no even understand

Nah, Ipswich made the game a joy to watch by not sitting back. United did ok and will improve going forward...

For some reason, Amad who had a RB playing as RCB behind him took up aa deep position all through the /match while Dalot who had Evans beside him was given the license to push forward. I don't k ow if it was the instruction but it was wrong. Amad too was just too careful, I saw him signalling for the ball to sent elsewhere when he was free to receive a pass. If he wants to make it at the top level, he has to change that mentality, he is more technical on the ball than Garnacho but he doesn't seem to believe in himself quite as much.

He has got to be used further up next week with the return of Shaw. Let Dalot or Mazraoui play that RWB position.

When you win football matches / trophies at a top club, a supposed style would be associated with the team by the press and fans, even if it's not entirely true /correct

As boring as LVG's possession football was, I am sure it would have been labelled "military tiki taka" or something related, and LVG would have been praised as the inventor, if only we were winning matches and trophies that year

In my opinion, probably try to start with it and make some updates as the game progresses. 75% of our passes today were at the back because we found it difficult to make any transition to the middle and upfront. We were pinned to the back by IPS which is not even a mid table team. What will happen against mid table and top teams?

But yes, no matter what happens this season, I won’t care. As long as we don’t relegate and we see some progress in our play.

Who dem be? I started reading posts from after the game, not posts made during the game.

Amorim talk say Bruno too de play long ball, he said we need to address that.
Evans cannot cover Hutchinson and their number 5 is always free. Thats another thing that needs to be addressed and that the players are confused
